Android 12 Public Beta Now Available: How to Install the Latest Software, What’s New

You can install the first public beta release of Android 12 on your Google Pixel 3 or a later model.

Android 12 public beta is now live. Google unveiled Android 12 at its I/O 2021 keynote on Tuesday, May 18 with a redesigned user interface and enhanced privacy settings. While a stable release of the new operating system will be available later this year, you can experience some of its key features by downloading the first public beta of Android 12 (aka Android 12 Beta 1) on your smartphone. It has a new interface based on a design language called Material You. The first public beta release also gives you a glimpse of the privacy settings that Google is bringing to your smartphone.

How to install Android 12 Beta 1 on your smartphone

Android 12 Beta 1 is available for download on Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3A, Pixel 3A XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4A, Pixel 4A 5G, and the Pixel 5. To install the beta release on your Pixel phone, you initially need to enrol your device from the Android 12 beta site. You will be required to enrol for the Android 12 beta release even if you previously enrolled in the Android 11 Beta Program.

Once enrolled, Android 12 Beta 1 will be available for download on your phone. You can also manually check for its availability by going to Settings > System > System Update > Check for update. It may take some time for the beta release to reach your device.

If you don't own a Pixel phone, Google has announced Android 12 Beta 1 for a list of third-party smartphones that are a part of the Android 12 Developer Preview programme. These phones include Asus ZenFone 8, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, Oppo Find X3 Pro, TCL 20 Pro 5G, Tecno Camon 17, iQoo 7 Legend, Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11X Pro, Realme GT, and the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G. You can check for the process of installing the first public beta release of Android 12 on any of these phones by going to the manufacturing links available on the Android Developers site.

Google brought the first developer preview of Android 12 in February. It was at that time limited to Google Pixel phones.

The Realme 6S is the latest mid-tier smartphone from Realme India, which offers a huge upgrade compared to the Realme 5, which was launched in 2019. The Realme 6S takes a modern design when it comes to design and build quality, the smartphone comes with a glass front and glass back. For selfies, the Realme 6S has a 16MP shooter with support for face unlock. In daylight situations, the Realme 6S takes some really great photos with vibrant colors and a higher level of detail. There is also a dedicated night mode, which will also improve the low-light camera performance by combining four pixels into one.

Realme 6S: Price To Specs Ratio

The Realme 6S is available in three variations. The base model comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is expected to be priced around Rs. 13,000 and as of now, there is no official information on the same. All three variants of the Realme 6S offers excellent value for money. If you are low on budget, then you can consider the entry-level model. If you want more amount of RAM and storage, then the high-end variant with 8GB RAM looks like a nice deal.

The Realme 6S is the most affordable smartphone in the country that offers a 30W fast charger in the retail unit. Similarly, this is also one of the most affordable smartphones with a display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. To create a partition from unpartitioned space follow these steps:

Right click This PC and select Manage

Open Disk Management

Select the disk from which you want to make a partition

Right click the Un-partitioned space in the bottom pane and select New Simple Volume

Enter the size and click next and you are done

WINDOWS 8/8.1

To create a partition from unpartitioned space follow these steps:

Hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press R

This will launch the Run the utility. Type diskmgmt.msc inside the text box and press Enter. This will open the Windows Disk Management utility

To create unallocated space, you need to shrink your hard drive. When you shrink your hard disk, the remaining space becomes unallocated

To do this, right-click your main drive and select Shrink Volume

Now you need to enter the amount you want to shrink the hard disk by in megabytes

After the Shrink is done, you will then see the region of unallocated space (shaded black). Remember, this space is not yet usable

Right-click the region of unallocated space and select New Simple Volume

This will launch the New Simple Volume Wizard. This will guide you through the installation process

Assign the disk a drive letter. You can choose any drive letter that is not currently in use

Select a file system for the disk. The file system is basically the type of format or foundation"the storage device has. If you plan on installing a Windows OS to the partition select the NTFS file system

Name the partition in the Volume Label text box. You can choose any name for your partition

Now click Finish to create the new partition.

WINDOWS 7

To create a partition from unpartitioned space follow these steps:

Open Computer Management by selecting the Start button. The select Control Panel -System and Security Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management

In the left pane, under Storage, select Disk Management

Right-click an unallocated region on your hard disk, and then select New Simple Volume

In the New Simple Volume Wizard, select Next

Enter the size of the volume you want to create in megabytes (MB) or accept the maximum default size, and then select Next

Accept the default drive letter or choose a different drive letter to identify the partition, and then select Next

In the Format Partition dialog box, do one of the following:

If you don't want to format the volume right now, select Do not format this volume, and then select Next

To format the volume with the default settings, select Next

Review your choices, and then select Finish

Google will stop selling ads based on tracked individual browsing history

Google on Wednesday said it will stop selling ads based on a person's individual browsing across websites, a move that could shake up the digital advertising industry as consumers call for more privacy online.

Last year, the search giant said it will phase out third-party cookies, little bits of code that can let advertisers track user history across the web. Once those are gone from Google's Chrome browser next year, the company made clear that it won't use or invest in alternative tracking tech that could identify people at an individual level.
