Ramamurthy Nagara, Bengaluru: A North Indian migrant labourer, Abhishek from Bihar sexually assaulted & murdered a 6 year old girl (from Nepal) in Bengaluru. The accused, a labourer from Bihar, was caught by locals and handed over to the police. The Ramamurthy Nagar police have filed a case against him under the POCSO Act. The police identified the accused as Abhishek Kumar, 25, a native of Bihar. The investigators said the girl’s parents, who are also migrant labourers (From Nepal) were at work on Monday when Abhishek Kumar allegedly lured the girl to an isolated place and r***d her. The child reportedly died on the spot, after which he left the body there.

The police said that on returning from work the parents found that the child was missing. A subsequent search led them to the body. After enquiries revealed that the girl was last seen with Abhishek, local residents caught and assaulted him before handing him over to the police.

A police officer said Abhishek was taken into police custody for further investigation after a preliminary probe indicated that he had r***d the girl.
