LEISA India goes entirely digital

This year LEISA India celebrates its 25th anniversary. Extremely grateful to all our readers, authors and all the supporters who have made this happen. It has been maintaining a niche for more than two decades as sharing practical agroecological knowledge from diverse contexts.

On this momentous occasion here is an announcement – the magazines shall be fully Digital. We are now moving towards digital editions, not only for English but all the language editions as well.

You all may be aware that LEISA India with its humble beginnings in 1999, started off as a printed supplement to global edition and within an year transformed into a full-fledged Indian edition, further branching out to 7 language editions. Leveraging the advantages of digital media, started offering a hybrid model of print and electronic English edition, way back in 2011.

Proliferation of smartphones and wider internet pe*******on in rural areas triggered this change. However, changing reading habits, has been the major driving force to move towards digital editions. Many of the LEISA India readers have opted for digital instead of print edition in the last few years. On the other side, rising printing costs and environmental concerns have made the transition inevitable.

While digital magazines may not be able to provide the same reading experience as the print edition, we shall sincerely strive to provide a consistent and seamless user experience - across various devices, whether it’s a smartphone, tablet or a computer.

With new, improved and searchable websites in place, and occasionally through multimedia, earnestly look forward to providing an enriching experience to our readers.

We hope you will support us as you always did and keep this initiative serving its purpose far and wide, while maintaining its niche as a magazine with a difference.
