Do you ever feel like you're stuck in a negative mindset, unable to break free? I know the feeling.

But let me tell you, there's a better way. 💪

I used to be the queen of negative self-talk 👸🏻 and worry. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake the feeling that I wasn't good enough.

I always used to tell myself that

😐 I don’t have a soothing voice, no one likes to hear me talking!
😐 I don’t have a nice body
😐 I don’t have efficient communication skills
😐 I don’t have abilities to compete in this fast pace corporate world as I’m not from computer’s educational background.

It was exhausting, and it left me feeling stuck and unhappy.

One day, I stumbled upon an article about the power of positive thinking. I was skeptical at first, but something about it resonated with me.

So I decided to give it a try. I started small, by focusing on one positive thing each day.

At first, it was hard to find anything to be positive about. But over time, I started to notice the small things that brought joy to my life. 🤯

As I continued to practice positive thinking, I started to see a shift in my life. I began to feel more confident, more energized, and more open to new opportunities. Instead of dwelling on my failures, I started to see them as opportunities to learn and grow. And as a result, I started to experience more success and happiness in my life. ☺️

If you're feeling stuck in a negative mindset, take this as a sign to give positive thinking a try. It's not always easy, but it's worth it. 🤌

It’s a bit controversial, but… it’s more important to hire for personality vs. skills.

Why?

Because skills can be learned, people can be trained and grow within the role they are hired for.

Personality and values, however, won’t be changed. That’s why it’s essential to make sure you hire the right people, not just based on their portfolio, experience, or who they know, but for who they are.

Team culture is important, and making sure that the people you hire share the same values is important for the team environment moving forward.

I’m not saying skills and experience don’t matter; of course, they do.

But, if you have two candidates:

Candidate A has 7 years of experience but has ambitions to start her own business within the next 3 years. She seems like a great fit, she has tons of results, testimonials, and she’s basically a superstar at what you are looking to hire for. But she doesn’t seem connected to your brand messaging.

Candidate B has 2 years of experience, a few testimonials, no case studies, but she seems very eager to learn and continue growing. She is excited about working with a team and growing with you, plus she mentioned how personally connected she is with one of your brand values.

Now, this doesn't matter if you are working by yourself or have a team in place. It also doesn't matter if you are new to business or have been doing this for years and make multiple six figures.⁠

If you don't have Standard Operating Procedures in place you have nothing to hold your team or yourself accountable to.⁠

EVERYONE needs SOPs to have accountability, or a standard to hold themselves to. No matter what phase of your business you are in.⁠

Some things I see happening as a result of not having SOPs in place⁠

❌ Spend a lot of time figuring out things again and again ⁠
❌ Unnecessary back n fourth communication between you and your team members⁠
❌ Things get dropped since your team doesn't know who's the responsibility it is to get something done.⁠
❌ Little mistakes are made over and over again, which can cost you time, and money.⁠

You can have everything remembered in your brain but sometimes team members need documentation to refer to.⁠

And heck, sometimes you do too! 😅⁠

🔶 A quiz: They’re fun, super shareable and give people an easy next step into working with you once they have their result.
🔶 Checklists: These are super actionable and give you an opportunity to pop some of your own teaching in there. (As well as a bit of personality.)
🔶 Templates: People love them! They’re so useful and valuable to your potential clients.
🔶 A free mini-course. This one is great if you don’t have a funnel already working, as you don’t want to give people too many actions. You can send a couple of training sessions straight to their inbox and give them a real taste of what it’s like to work with you.

REMEMBER: the best type of lead magnet to use is the one that your ideal 💡client 💡will find the most useful, valuable and enticing.

Let’s kick off the new month with a reflection post! 🎉🥂

🥂I can hardly believe that it has been almost 2 years since I started this business, and now that I have a business, I want to reflect!!

Here are a few things I learned about myself and had to change to get to where I am today!

🟢 I need to give myself more credit where credit is due 🟢
Thanks to my corporate IT experience, I was able to avoid comparing myself to others! But I've often doubted myself since I started my online business and thought anything I did wasn't enough. I had to change the script in my head to "I'm doing enough, I'm worthy, and I'm that one people need!" (Lol 😂) but seriously being negative towards yourself is easy, changing the dialogue in your head is difficult, but not impossible!

🟢 Perfectionism is a form of procrastination 🟢
Before getting started, I had to reflect and ask myself why I felt the need to get everything ready and flawless. It was my way of avoiding failure! It would be impossible for me to fail if I never started or finished it! Eventually I learned that it's okay to not be an expert and as long as you are doing your best, then you're never really failing!

🟢 You get out what you put into your business 🟢
It was hard to maintain consistency! Again, the fear of failure played a role in my struggle! When you own a business you have to push away from who you are comfortable being, which causes you to go into survival mode. However, I am proud to know that being uncomfortable is part and parcel of my success.

🟢 A goal without a plan is just a wish 🟢
Setting goals is one thing, but actually achieving them is another! Having big goals is a nice way to get started but breaking down each step you will take is what is the game changer! I learned that I needed to create systems in place for my goals!

Are you doing this mistake as an Entrepreneur? One common mistake I see with lot of coaches / entrepreneurs is they create content around themselves and what services they offer. May be you’re posting the content around what you THINK your audience wants. ⁣ What you think your audience wants can be totally different from what your audience actually wants to know. 💯 ⁣ If your content is not serving your ideal client / audience, that content will never get converted. So, start working on knowing your audience better before you create any content. Here are easy ways to get to know your audience better so you can create content that converts:⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ Do a poll in your stories. 👉🏼Ask your audience a series of questions that let's you get to know who they are and where they are in their journey.⁣ For example: If you’re a Business Coach, using polls find out where are they in their business journey and what are they struggling with, is it sales or getting clients or creating irresistible offers? (Or) If you’re a Weightloss coach, ask the questions around what area they are looking for help - is it about lifestyle changes or food or physical activity etc. ⁣ 2️⃣Ask a few people in your audience if they're willing to do a quick market research call. 📲 This will help you find out what type of support your audience needs right now.⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣Create a quick survey using Google Forms. 👩🏻‍💻This is also another easy way to collect feedback from your audience.⁣ ⁣ 💬 What's one way you get feedback from your audience? For me, I love using the poll sticker on Instagram stories!⁣

I am very good at what I do and have good reputation in the company and team. I am comfortable. Scared to try something new.⁣ ⁣ Because of that, I had nagging thoughts 24/7 about where I could be if I do something new and take control of my own future. ⁣ But I took that step and started my side hustle and I thoroughly enjoy what I'm doing. ⁣ It is scary as hell to throw yourself towards your dream goals. I mean, they’re called dreams because sometimes it doesn’t seem like they can become realities. ⁣ ⁣ That’s when our instinct to protect ourself and stay in that regular routine that you could probably repeat while ASLEEP kicks in.
