Vijaykrishna D was born in Mysore, Karnataka. His initial training in Carnatic classical music was under the tutelage of his mother Smt Anasuya Dwarakanth, who is also an established Carnatic vocalist in Bangalore. He learnt the Western classical Piano from Ravi Kashyap, where he also appeared for a number of examinations conducted with an affiliation to ‘The Lo
ndon College of Music’ & ‘Trinity College of London’. Vijaykrishna has been actively involved in the music industry since 2006 and has worked extensively for many Feature films,Tele Serials, Documentaries, Radio and TV jingles, Multimedia and devotional albums . He is a multi-faceted musician who is a Music Composer, Arranger and a Sound engineer, who also owns a recording studio at Bangalore. His sound knowledge in both Indian classical and Western classical music works like a charm in bringing both the art forms together. He has also accompanied many artists on the Keyboard and has performed in both India and abroad on many occasions. He has also collaborated with many music celebrities like SP Bala Subramaniam , KJ yesudas, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, KS Chitra, Vijay Prakash , Rajesh Krishnan, Ramesh Aravind , Ganesh Kumaresh, K.Kalyan and Anuradha Bhat to name a few. VijayKrisna’s recent film Sri Jagannatha Dasaru & Sri Prasanna Venkata Dasaru is a blockbuster hit and his music was very well appreciated from people of all age group. All the songs in the album were a hit, but, his songs Vithalayya Vithalayya and Hanumantha Deva went on to become a super duper hit and is very close to everyone’s heart. This humongous response to his song, lead to the Project Vithalayya, which is a YouTube channel, A divine platform to celebrate and cherish the rich heritage of Hari Dasa Sahitya by collaborating with the next Gen musicians across the globe.
