Saramati Peak, located in Nagaland, is the highest peak in the state and a popular destination for trekking and adventure enthusiasts.

Height: 3,826 meters (12,552 feet) above sea level, making it the highest point in Nagaland and one of the highest in the Northeastern region of India.
Location: Situated in the Kiphire district of Nagaland, near the border with Myanmar.
Significance: It offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and dense forests and is an important part of the Eastern Himalayas.

Trekking to Saramati Peak
Starting Point: The trek usually starts from the picturesque village of Thanamir, which is known as the “Apple Village” of Nagaland.
Duration: The trek typically takes 2-3 days, including both ascent and descent.
Difficulty: Moderate to challenging, with steep trails and high altitudes. It’s recommended for those with prior trekking experience.

Best Time to Visit:
Winter (October to March): Clear skies and stunning views but cold temperatures.
Avoid Monsoon (June to September): The region receives heavy rainfall, making trails slippery and dangerous.
