Media plays a very important role in being a watchdog of the society. As a radio station, we believe that it is important to bring to light every issue that concerns the citizens, thus making it a vibrant space for the audience to participate, opine, and dialogue. Our core belief is to become a platform that is unafraid to raise voices, to share critical information and to become a mouthpiece of t
he community. Radio Nazariya has a vision to raise concerns of citizens and also encourage diverse cultural expression. Making it a space for all citizens, participation plays a key role in ensuring the fulfillment of this vision. Everyone has the opportunity to create a space for themselves in this radio station and be able to voice their opinions. There is no room for any bias or inequality. It is evident that there is a need of programs that ensure a constant flow of unbiased, informed data that eventually leads to a creation of an informed society. It is important that people are made aware of their rights. The most unheard voice – woman – will get an opportunity to know and apply the information she may get from our shows, which are based on gender inequality and its issues. The youth will get a space to address the problems that they face, on a personal level as well as on a civic engagement level. The citizens would be given a chance to engage in bringing out various issues of the city, the lapse in governance to tackle the issues and also understanding the importance of preserving the city's heritage. There is also space for classical music, promoting the diverse cultures of our country, something that many stations do not provide today. Not only adults, but children and senior citizens can also become a part of this process. The final objective is to educate – ensuring good quality and quantity. We encourage our audience to participate in different ways – by voicing their opinions, or becoming radio producers to produce such content. Our aim is to create a space for everyone. Eventually, we hope that through our shows, we ensure that the governance authorities are made responsible and accountable, so that we are able to achieve that ultimate goal - to create a just and an equal society.
