החודש מציין עולם המוזיקה 134 שנים ללידתו של המלחין הרוסי, סרגיי פרוקופייב.
יצירותיו נוגנו על במות תחרות רובינשטיין לאורך השנים פעמים רבות,
אחת הביצועים הזכורים ביותר הוא של דניל טריפונוב, זוכה מדליית הזהב בתחרות רובינשטיין 2011, שניגן את סונטה מס' 3 של פרוקופייב.

This month marks the 134th anniversary of the birth of the Russian composer, Sergei Prokofiev.
His works have been played on the stages of the Rubinstein Competition many times over the years.
One of the most memorable performances is that of Danill Trifonov, the gold medalist at the 2011 Rubinstein Competition, who played Prokofiev's Sonata No. 3 in A minor.

The Israeli Conservatory of Music Tel Aviv will host Prof. Arie Vardi
for two days of master classes.

The Tel Aviv Conservatory has a long-standing relationship with Prof. Vardi, who is a guest of the Conservatory every year, and this year Prof. Vardi agreed to expand the framework of the master classes to two consecutive days in which 8 lessons will be held.
The master classes with Prof. Vardi are always an enriching experience: musical, pianist, methodological and cultural. Prof. Vardi's ability to merge all of these aspects in his lectures and to navigate them freely and pleasantly is unique.

We had 2 exciting concerts, with Yukine Kuroki, the bronze medalist of the last Rubinstein Competition, with pianist Ilya Shmuckler and the Israel Chamber Orchestra conducted by Shmuel Elbaz.
The First, at the Tel Aviv Museum (22/4), and the second concert In Netivot (23/4)- as a tribute to the residents of Netivot and the surrounding communities in the western Negev.
Youkine also playes recitels in 3 other locations in Israel,

Yukine Kuroki, the bronze medalist of the last Rubinstein Competition, is coming to Israel and will play in a concert at the Tel Aviv Museum, with pianist Ilya Shmuckler and the Israel Chamber Orchestra conducted by Shmuel Elbaz.

תחרות רובינשטיין תקיים ב-22 במרץ במוזיאון תל אביב קונצרט מיוחד עם שני זוכי תחרויות בינלאומיות לפסנתר, יוקינה קורוקי – הזוכה במדליית הארד בתחרות רובינשטיין האחרונה (2023) ואיליה שמוקלר, הזוכה בפרס הראשון בתחרות גזה אנדה בציריך (2024) ועם התזמורת הקאמרית הישראלית בניצוחו של שמואל אלבז.

הקונצרט ייפתח ביצירתה של אביה קופלמן, "הביאו אותם הביתה עכשיו". לפני כשנה הזמינה התזמורת הקאמרית הישראלית את היצירה מהמלחינה הישראלית אביה קופלמן, בבחינת תיעוד וזכרון לאירועי ה-7 באוקטובר והיא בוצעה בבכורה בקונצרט בחודש דצמבר בנוכחות משפחות החטופים.
"היצירה היא קריאה להחזרת החטופים לביתם, מתוך רגשות הצער והכאב העצומים שנחוו, ועדיין נחווים, בשנה זו", אומרת אביה קופלמן על יצירתה, "כיוצרת ישראלית אני חשה כורח וחובה כאחד לזעוק זעקה זו. כוונתי המקורית הייתה לכלול הקראה של שמות כל החטופים במקביל לנגינה. אפילו קראתי אותם בעצמי, בבית, בכוונה מלאה, וזו בפני עצמה חוויה מטלטלת וממושכת באופן לא צפוי. אני ממליצה לכל אחת ואחד להתנסות בזאת. אלא שבמשך הזמן הרגשתי שדווקא בגלל העוצמה של קריאה כזו, אין דרך משכנעת לשלב אותה עם המוזיקה: האחת מייתרת את השנייה, הן מתחרות זו בזו, לפיכך החלטתי לתת למוזיקה לדבר בעצמה, ולכתוב את השמות על הדף, לקריאה אישית בלב בעת ההאזנה".

תחרות רובינשטיין תקיים ב-22 במרץ במוזיאון תל אביב קונצרט מיוחד עם שני זוכי תחרויות בינלאומיות לפסנתר, יוקינה קורוקי – הזוכה במדליית הארד ובפרס הביצוע הטוב ביותר של קונצ'רטו קלאסי בתחרות רובינשטיין האחרונה (2023) ואיליה שמוקלר, הזוכה בפרס הראשון בתחרות גזה אנדה בציריך (2024).
בתוכנית הקונצרט, בלווי התזמורת הקאמרית הישראלית בניצוחו של שמואל אלבז, הקונצ'רטו מס' 12 לפסנתר בלה מז'ור של מוצארט בביצוע קורוקי והקונצ'רטו מס' 4 לפסנתר של בטהובן בביצוע שמוקלר,
קורוקי ושמוקלר ינגנו בארבע ידיים, עם התזמורת, ואריאציות על "12 הירחים" הירחים של נעמי שמר, שכתב המלחין משה זורמן.
הקונצרט ייפתח ביצירתה של אביה קופלמן, "הביאו אותם הביתה עכשיו", אותה הזמינה ממנה במיוחד התזמורת הקאמרית הישראלית, בקריאה להחזרת החטופים.

Last week Yukina Kuroki gave a three-recital tour of London. The first recital we reported on previous post was at a music school and was given voluntarily. On two other evenings she performed at the Bechstein Hall, a new recital hall owned by the Bechstein piano company; and at the Razumovsky Academy Recital Hall, operated by cellist Oleg Kogan. In both venues, she received loud applause and even gave several encores.
All the events in London were supported by the UK Friends of the Arthur Rubinstein Society.

בשבוע שעבר יוקינה קורוקי ערכה סבב של שלושה רסיטלים בלונדון. הרסיטל הראשון, עליו דיווחנו בפוסט קודם, היה בבית ספר למוזיקה וניתן בהתנדבות. בשני ערבים נוספים היא הופיעה באולם בקשטיין- אולם רסיטלים חדש בבעלות חברת הפסנתרים Bechstein; וכן ב-Razumovsky Academy Recital Hall, בניהולו של הצ'לן אולג קוגן. בשני האולמות היא זכתה לתשואות רמות, ואף נתנה הדרנים.
כל האירועים בלונדון היו בתמיכת הידידים הבריטים של עמותת ארתור רובינשטיין.

Yukine Kuroki, bronze medalist of the last Rubinstein Competition, inaugurated a new community project of the Friends of the Rubinstein Competition in the UK. Today, she met with music students at Henrietta Barnett School in North London, talking to them and playing works by Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff and Kapustin.
The obvious excitement on the students' faces and the attentive listening to the playing are evidence of the impact of these types of meetings, meetings that we also hold in Israel.

Kuroki will come to Israel in March, and play recitals in Ashdod, Rehovot and Ein Kerem, as well as a Mozart concerto with the Israel Chamber Orchestra, in Tel Aviv and Netivot.

יוקינה קורוקי, הזוכה במדליית הארד בתחרות רובינשטיין האחרונה, חנכה פרוייקט קהילתי חדש של ידידי התחרות בבריטניה. היא נפגשה היום עם תלמידות מגמת המוזיקה בביה״ס הנרייטה בארנט בצפון לונדון, שוחחה איתן וניגנה להן מיצירות שופן, ליסט, רחמנינוב וקפוסטין.
ההתרגשות הניכרת על פני התלמידות וההאזנה הקשובה לנגינה הן עדות לאימפקט של מפגשים מסוג זה, מפגשים שאנו מקיימים גם בישראל.

Arthur was born 138 years ago on January 27th 1887,
apart from being an outstanding musician and One of the greatest pianists of the 20th century, he had a contagious optimistic point of view on life.
