If we claim to know and follow Jesus of Nazareth, we too are commissioned by the Lord to love our neighbor as our self. But how do we show love?

There are many ways to love others, but the greatest love we can offer the world is to proclaim the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost —-to deliver God’s Word in grace and truth.

As Paul states in Romans 10:14, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” It is our responsibility—our joy—to lovingly share the Good News with others. After all, if we see others in spiritual bo***ge but don’t share truth with them, do we really have love in our hearts?

Therefore, our greatest calling as Christians is to be the channel of God’s love to unbelievers by proclaiming to them the salvation found only in Jesus of Nazareth.

Why Jesus came on Earth
➡️ To Do The Father’s Work

When Jesus came, He came with a purpose; to do the Father’s work. Jesus knew that the world was broken. He knew that without a Saviour, His people would be destined to live in bo***ge and darkness. He also knew that without a sacrifice to take on the sin and shame of His people, there would be no freedom.

Jesus took on flesh and came to set the captives free. He came to break the chains of bo***ge and sin. He came to restore what the enemy had stolen. And He came to offer Himself as a living sacrifice, that all our sin and shame would be taken from us. The Father knew we needed a Saviour, so the Saviour came down.

As we look to Jesus this Christmas, we know we have love, joy, healing, salvation, peace and freedom, all through Him. The baby in the manger came to set us free – and through this Son we are free indeed.

The Truth About Being Prepared

We might talk ourselves out of sharing about Jesus with others because we feel like we are unqualified. The enemy tries to make us feel like we can’t pour into others because we aren’t close enough to God ourselves

The bottom line is that we need to step aside and let God use us. Stop getting in your own way by trying so hard to be perfect and righteous all by yourself. Instead, lean on Christ and let him use your imperfections for his glory!

Attacking Toxic Thoughts: Winning the battle for your mind

Spiritual warfare is often focused on the battle for our minds. The devil is a liar and a hunter. He loves to set traps for us by whispering thoughts that feel true but lead us down a path that ends in destruction.‼️

Some emotions, like anxiety, are completely rooted in our thought life. Anxiety is caused by imagining bad things that could happen. This is why Paul told us to fight anxiety by thinking about what was good and true and lovely and excellent. (Philippians 4:8) He understood that toxic thinking sabotages healthy living.

The Good News of the Gospel is that Sin does not have the final say. Jesus does. And when Jesus arrived in history He came announcing a new hope for humanity that came in the form of the forgiveness of sins. The Bible teaches that anyone who places their trust in Jesus and commits to be His follower becomes a new creation. Once that happens, our old lives are left behind as we become something beautiful and glorious in the eyes of God.

What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.

The apostle Paul is an excellent example of God's grace
He was a strict follower of every Jewish law and did his best to serve God as he understood how. He had all the
external reguirements to be considered a righteous person (Philippians 3:4-6). Paul is full of good works.
However, none of his accomplishments impressed God By God's grace, Jesus revealed Himself to him while on the road to Damascus (Acts 9). That encounter changed him forever. This was his conclusion:

Paul finally realized that everything he gained was worthless compared to having Jesus. Knowing the savior and receiving righteousness by faith became his ultimate goal.

Others do when they find themselves in awkward situations.

In today’s reading, laughter is a sign of doubt. Being fully aware that she was well past the age of childbearing, Sarah laughs when she overhears a promise that she would soon have a son. That was hard to believe, especially since she had never become pregnant. The very thought that she could experience her first nature-defying pregnancy was incredible.

God wants to set us free from the power of sin.

We humans are enslaved to sin. We can’t set ourselves free from its power or from its consequences. Satan, who first tempted us into sin, has a firm grip on us. But God does not leave us in this hopeless condition!
