This is my friend Reut, A few months ago, after 6 months of looking, she helped me find my apartment in Tel Aviv; for any of you who have gone through that process, you understand that I owe her big time.
She has been looking for a quality guy for a while. I figured I would help – without her actually knowing how I was going to help her out… see she knows I am good with a camera, and that I like to experiment with it; so I convinced her to pose for me and to get some shots of her “life” what she didn’t know, was how I was going to edit it and tell her story. So here it is, if you know of a great guy who is kind, warm-hearted, fun, spontaneous, calm, diplomatic, intelligent, charismatic, and successful – send or tag him in it below – let's see if we can help her find the love of her life.
PS. Please don’t kill me Reut; otherwise you won't have the chance to thank me later… 😉
What is Freedom?
Have you ever thought about what it means to be truly free? We talk about it on #Passover. We are supposed to be grateful for it... But how many of us actually are? Perhaps this will give you something to think about and discuss at this year's #Seder, as opposed to politics and how hungry you are... ;-)
Happy Passover!!!
PS. Thanks to Jacob Bryce for lending his amazing house in Jaffa for the video.
Leave Two Wheels Behind... See What You Can Pick Up Instead...
We love our cars.
And for outside the city – they work well for getting from point A-B – and having fun along the way.
But when you get to the city.
The fun ends. The fury begins.
In Tel Aviv, we have figured out a different solution.
Scooters and electric bikes of every make and size dot the landscape. They define the city.
Besides the obvious issues of traffic and parking they have one major advantage.
You can explore and interact with your surroundings much more intimately; getting to know the city and the people in it.
So for your next trip into the city – leave two of your wheels behind – and see what you can pick up instead.

Midburn 2018 is Coming
Midburn is our version of Burning Man Same Same but Different.
You are hypnotic and free; your body moves to the monotonic rhythm of the techno.
The sun beats down on your body, enters your mind, melding the music and drugs into a power making you unstoppable. You feel your soul as you connect to the deepest recesses of your innermost self. Your brain and your heart and let everything sad, go.
These special people are with you, you call them friends, but you know, that they are more. They belong to you, and you to them; your family of choice. They make you smile in this moment, while you are watching them. As long as you will live, you will not be alone. With all their individuality, and their differences, they are still like you; creating that feeling of familiar, sharing the same tastes. You are proud to call these wild and crazy people, who are never boring, your friends. This time of the year, is a “holiday for the brain”, they say, but for you it is more. It’s the time of the year where we are all together. Will you be joining us this time?
We made this clip in an attempt to explain to the uninitiated what Midburn is; and to give you a tool to show your friends overseas a taste of what they are missing. Who would you like to have join your this year from arround the world? Tag them in the comments below - perhpas this is the push they need to come?
The Storm that Wasn't
Over the weekend everyone was worried about the storm. We decided to make a video about the "Storm that wasn't..." What about you? Did you get caught up in it and see a different version of events?
Yes, The clouds came in, Yes, the winds picked up and we had some waves. Of course, a few people even got wet. Yet, while we sat at home The skies cleared.
Welcome to our winter wonderland, were the wrath of the heavens only lasts but a moment!
A Different Hanukah
Hanukkah is the one holiday that brings together Jews from around the world. Its the one holiday everyone celebrates. Rosh Hashana is to long. Yom Kippur is to hard. Sukkot is to much work. Purim is awesome, but its no fun to dress up alone. Passover has family politics. Shavuot? Aside from the orthodox and cheesecake in Israel, really?
But Hanukkah , everyone loves Hanukkah? Sure the presents are great. But what we are really celebrating with the festival of lights is that we are broadcasting to the world we are different. Different because we are special, different because we are rebels, different because we are not afraid to stand up for what we believe in. We value truth over consensus, difference over popularity. So this year when you light your menorah; celebrate the difference of opinion, diversity, and freedom of thought that our culture and heritage are based on.
Happy Hanuka!
