📰 "Jerusalem In Focus" 🗞️ (formerly ICEJ WAR BRIEF) Day 500: This past weekend, three more Israeli hostages were released from Gaza and welcomed back home by their families as part of the fragile ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. This came after Hamas had threatened not to release any more hostages, prompting US President Donald Trump to demand that all the hostages be freed by noon on Saturday. In the end, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to stick with the current deal, while Hamas relented under the American pressure and released three male captives as scheduled. Netanyahu and Trump are now coordinating their efforts regarding the second phase of the truce and hostage release deal, which would see an end to the war, an IDF withdrawal from Gaza, and the rebuilding of the Strip.
