Highway 19 Ministries

Working for relief, reconciliation and reformation in the Middle East. Some say that peace in the Middle East is an absolute impossibility. We don’t think so.

Many have given up hope and resigned to the realities of hatred, division, oppression and war as the overarching narratives of this troubled region of the world. Are hostility, violence and bloodshed the only future for the millions of souls who call the Middle East their home? Are fear, terror and intimidation the only story? A Hebrew prophet, named Isaiah, sees a vision of the Middle East that i

s quite different than the popular views of the region today. He does not ignore the challenges, but he looks far past the current chaos to a day where unity and reconciliation are the realities that will one day release a blessing in the midst of the earth. In chapter 19:23-25 of the book bearing his name, Isaiah declares:

“In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians will come into Egypt and the Egyptians into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, ”Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

Building this highway of hope and investing in a regional work of reconciliation is what drives us. Through prayer initiatives, worship gatherings, training programs and a variety of relief efforts, Highway 19 Ministries is serving this vision along with many others in the region who are also committed to building up this highway of hope in the Middle East.

Welcome back to my Living Room. This song is called "Secrets". I use this word to describe how God seems to work at times. From where He sits, He can see the end from the beginning, and He knows exactly what He is doing. For us, our perspective is often limited to what we can visualize in the here and now. Moses in a basket, Joseph in a prison, Esther in a palace, and a Baby in a manger could all seem a bit confusing and underwhelming from our vantage point, but these were actually miraculous moments that brought outstanding victory for God's people. God hides His greatest secrets in the most unlikely places. I hope you are encouraged and continue to put your hope and your trust in Him. Shabbat shalom from Jerusalem. ❤️

It was a rough day today in Israel. To those who checked in with us, thank you. I’ve posted more specific updates on other platforms and I encourage you to stay informed and vigilant in intercession as this unfolds. Please pray for the families who have already lost loved ones and for those who have been abducted. Please pray for active soldiers and for the reservists who have been called up as Israel prepares its response. Please declare Psalm 91 over the country and its people. Please pray for our three children and all of Israel’s sons and daughters. 🙏🏼
