*** The Arrest, Trials and Crucifixion of Jesus - A Possible Sequence. ***
The Gospel accounts agree that Jesus was arrested, brought before Jewish and Roman authorities for interrogation and sentencing, and led outside the walls of Jerusalem to be crucified. What is not clear is the sequence of the events of Jesus’ trial(s) or their location within Jerusalem.
About all that is sure is that the Via Dolorosa, a modern series of narrow, arched and stepped streets leading from the Sisters of Zion Convent (the location of the Antonia Fortress) to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Golgotha), is a route more of faith than fact. The uncertainty of the known route aside, the events surrounding Jesus’ crucifixion and Resurrection remain the founding fact of Christianity." (Greatness Grace & Glory - Paul H.Wright)

“So Great a Cloud of Witnesses.” Traditions regarding the founders of the Church abound.
The chart shown here presents a select and representative sample, indicating the extent to which the Christian community spread by the end of the first century A.D. and the dangers to life and limb that its leaders faced in the process.

Tradition holds that only a few died a natural death. Several were remembered as having taken up their own cross; most succumbed to the kinds of deaths that the writer of Hebrews noted were part and parcel of a life of faith (Heb 11:32–40): “For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart” (Heb 12:4).

** Map of Jesus activity around the Sea of Galilee.
Apart from several journeys, Jesus' entire activity was concentrated around the Sea of Galilee (Matthew 15:29; Mark 1:16, 6:31).
On the Sea of Galilee there are frequent storms. During one such storm, Jesus slept while sailing across the lake and upon his awakening the sea was suddenly calmed. The boat arrived near the ancient settlement of Gergesa (Mark 4:35-41; Matthew 8:23-27; Luke 8:22-24). Other events recorded in the Gospels pertaining to the Sea of Galilee and its surrounding are the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes in “the lonely places” near the town of Bethsaida (Luke 9:10-17), the story of Jesus walking on the water, and Peter's attempt to follow his example (Mark 6:45-51; Matthew 15:22-23; and John 6:15-21).

The Persian Cyclamen (Cyclamen Persicum) may be modest in stature and humble in appearance, but this little flower has an intimate connection to the Virgin Mother in its shape, coloring and even delicate scent.

The shape is said to represent a girl humbly bowing her head among rocks. This image, of a bowing head, has become a symbol of the Pietà, the artistic depiction of the Virgin Mary cradling the body of Jesus. The head titled downwards expresses grief and agony while the heart-shaped leaves represent Mary’s aching heart.
