The release of three more in another show highlighted the brutal conditions they endured for 491 days. The before-and-after images of the men reveal the horror they have suffered over the past 491 days in Hamas captivity in Gaza. Israeli President Isaac Herzog commented, “This is what a crime against humanity looks like! The whole world must look directly at Ohad, Or, and Eli—returning after 491 days of hell, starved, emaciated, and pained—being exploited in a cynical and cruel spectacle by vile murderers.”

Doctors at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Sheba Medical Center reported that the hostages had lost approximately 30% of their body , suffering from extreme , muscle depletion, and potential organ damage due to prolonged .
Dr. Itai Pessach, director of the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital at Sheba Medical Center, described their condition as “extremely concerning,” with visible signs of prolonged deprivation. Medical teams are now closely monitoring them for refeeding syndrome, a potentially fatal condition that can occur when malnourished individuals begin receiving food again.
