Well that's it now, Christmas decorations are down and ready to be put away until next December. Time to get back into the studio now and plan the year ahead.
2024 has been the most amazing year for me, travelled to Spain with a stranger who's now a friend, Róisín, and met glass artist Ana Llavador and her partner JoseMarie there, tried some new techniques with glass but mostly just fell around the place laughing at each other.
There was a little holiday with grandkiddies which was fun...especially for them 😉 and then in November an unexpected trip to see Anna and Micheál in Australia, omg what an adventure, even managed to get in a little glass work too 🙈
I wonder will 2025 be nearly as exciting...I suppose that's up to me 😊

I love making these robins. They're very special and even more so at this time of year. I've lots available and I'm here until Sunday evening, storm Darragh won't stop these little guys from flying to their new homes. Well that's it, I'm in Sydney airport just about to board my flight back home to Ireland.
I'm going to miss spending time with these 2 'nut jobs'. I had an absolutely amazing time with and , thank you both so much and Anna 3 weeks together of fun and laughter, such a relaxing time 😊

We visited the Art Gallery in Sydney last week and of all the pictures/images that I saw there this had a profound effect on me.

This week Anna and myself visited Hyde Park Gardens and the Boticanical Gardens in the centre of the city in Sydney. All the flowers that we were busy dead heading and tidying up for winter 2 months ago are in full bloom here and showing themselves off beautifully.
And I don't know if it was planned from Sydneys inception but I think the high rise buildings work really well as a backdrop to the stunning gardens.
Most likely a happy accident and not everyone will agree with me either, but do I care 🤷‍♀️

This week myself and Anna went into Sydney to visit some of the iconic places. This was one of the first beautiful place in Sydney that caught my eye. The Anzac Memorial, a fantastic building remembering all those who have fought in battles and wars.
