The highly anticipated film 'Small Things Like These', featuring Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, along with Watson, Eileen Walsh, and Michelle Fairley, hits cinemas across Ireland on Friday, November 1st! ✨🎬

Based on the best-selling novel by Claire Keegan and directed by Tim Mielants, this gripping story follows Bill Furlong, a coalman in 1980s Ireland, as he uncovers disturbing secrets kept by the local convent forcing him to confront his past and the complicit silence of a small Irish town controlled by the Catholic Church.

Filmed in stunning locations like New Ross, Co. Wexford, Wicklow, and Dublin, the movie had its world premiere at the Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival, where Emily Watson took home the award for Best Supporting Performance!

Proudly supported by Fís Éireann / Screen Ireland, this marks the first feature from Cillian Murphy and his production partner Alan Moloney's Big Things Films, co-produced by Hollywood icons Ben Affleck and Matt Damon (Artists Equity).

‼ Deadline Approaching ‼

Screen Wexford in association with the County Wexford Arts Department is calling for applications to its Shadowing Fund initiative.

The Shadowing Fund initiative is for support to get a Wexford film crew participant to a film or television set to shadow and learn from an experienced and professional filmmaker. These can be in the areas of Director, Producer, DOP, Art Dept, Gaffer, Editor, Scriptwriter, Script Editor etc.

The aim of this award is to provide up to €500 funding to emerging filmmakers based in the County Wexford region. This is to help with travel-associated costs to a set or location and stay in accommodation overnight if needed. The fund can also be used to get to an edit or soundmix if you are shadowing in the post-production sector.

We are looking for Wexford applications who are working in the industry and want to upskill or are starting off and want to learn from an experienced professional.

A number of productions are shot in different parts of the country and this fund will help assist with travel costs to get to location.

The Shadowing Fund can be used for:
🟠 Petrol / Diesel
🟠 Train / Bus Fares
🟠 B&B / Hotel Accommodation
🟠 Meals
❌ Please note that Screen Wexford does not find the shadowing positions for you on productions but can help give advice on current productions filming in Ireland.

There will be 4 Shadowing Funds per calendar year, and a fund of up to €500 will be available per quarter to one successful applicant.
