Launching as part of Harvest Festival, A Slice of Culture is Waterford’s brand new intercultural festival, which will transform Wyse Park and The Rogue Gallery & Studios & Studios into a Hungarian cultural celebration of art, dance, song, stories and aromas.

A Slice of Culture is presented by The Rogue Gallery & Studios and Waterford Hungarian Cultural Organisation, and this year’s family-friendly event will bring some of Hungary's most famous traditions and dishes ​centre stage!

We are so look forward to presenting you with our usual stunning mural arts programme-24 walls by 20 artists.

New to our festival programme and which you definitely need to look out for are our digital app-watch and see mural artworks move before your eyes with an expert talk on how this app was created in Goma Gallery, Virtual tours of over 100 Waterford Walls artworks created over the last 7 years, our new Waterford Walls podcast with behind the scenes stories on what the Waterford Walls artwork means to people, our new Mentorship and Training programme with Stephen St being the centre of this activity and of course our hugely popular guided art tours
are back.

Well the summer theatre project ended today with an evaluation session, some pizza's and a viewing of the play from last night - special thanks to Garter lane Arts Centre for all their support over this week of our unplanned visit.

Great news for all of the team here at Waterford Treasures.

We’ve been awarded our Maintenance of Full Accreditation for both the award winning Medieval Museum and the beautiful Georgian Bishop's Palace again, by the Heritage Council of Ireland MSPI programme.

The Museum Standards Programme for Ireland (MSPI) was established by the Heritage Council to benchmark and promote professional standards in the care of collections and to recognise through accreditation the achievement of those standards within the Irish museum sector.

It's heartbreaking news that Stolen Time is cancelled in line with new government Covid restrictions.

23 young people have spent all summer working so hard to create this piece of Theatre along side and hard working and talented crew so although disappointed with the news that we must cancel the shows we are not beaten yet and the play will be live streamed this Thursday at 9pm on socail media platforms.

Please tune in this Thursday at 9pm to see all the hard work paying off, we need your support now more than ever.

Lifted this images and text from Martina Collender who was commissioned to write a play for our Summer Project but when we found we had to move outdoors because of the Pandemic she came up trumps again and wrote a new play for an outdoor setting 'Stolen Time'

Piles upon piles of scripts getting ready to with Liam Meagher directing leading over 20 teenager actors in a show coming this August you won't want to miss.

i'll be performing as part of Culture Ireland on Tuesday 19th May at 12.30pm Irish time. "Small Halls in Cyberspace" is a lucky bag of songs from my touring show "Small Halls and Potholes" which is in turn a compendium of songs and stories from my repertoire of theatre shows. i have a great grá for driving down narrow country roads in summer and doing shows in the magical small halls that are scattered throughout rural Ireland. While all that is on hold i'm discovering cyberspace has some nice boreens too. And the same as the small halls the audience bring half the magic with them. looking forward to Tuesday. the show will be streamed from this page
