She talks about her passion for rationality, evidence, truth and justice, and about the importance of local journalism. She also explains how she figured out way before most of the rest of the world that Covid 19 could be the ‘big one’.

Thomas McCarthy was born in 1954 in Cappoquin, Co. Waterford. He is a multi-award winning poet and has published nine collections of poetry including his most recent collection ‘Prophecy’. He has also published two novels and two works of non-fiction. He's a member of Aosdana, the elected Assembly of artists and writers in Ireland.
