LOCAL: The water conservation order is commonly known as a ban on using a hosepipe for watering and other non-essential uses of water such as washing a car or using a hosepipe to fill a paddling pool.

LOCAL: The company had given advance notice the supply would be shut down for the town between 11pm and 5am this morning for essential maintenance. The early shut down has been condemned by Cllr Browne as unacceptable.

SPORT: Team Captain Ronan Maher later led his team mates to the Thurles Sarsfields Club house where a plaque featuring Ronan was unveiled. The wall outside the Club house at Boher na Naomh displays the images of all Thurles Sarsfield players that have captained Tipperary to All Ireland success.
