CiFest: A music night for Cialín Earls will take place in McNamee's Bar, Bride Street, on Sunday, 28 July, from 5pm.

'On Sunday 28th July we are hosting a special mini music festival ‘CiFest’ in honour of our beautiful son, Cialín Earls, on what should be his 19th birthday this summer.

We had big plans for Cialin's 18th birthday. It was to be his own little 'concert'. An evening with some local bands and artists. A big celebration after his recovery from months in Crumlin hospital. A birthday to celebrate everything about Cialín. To show him how much we treasure and love him. Family, friends and music - everything Cialín cherished and adored.

But we never had this night. We never got to throw the party. We never got to see his face as the music played for him.

Cialín is forever 16.

It is now with a great heaviness and sadness that we are trying to do something special for what should be Cialín's 19th birthday.

Cifest, an evening of live performances, community and remembrance. Our way of ensuring that Cialín continues to impact the world in a meaningful way in helping to support two amazing charities, Rosabel's Rooms and CRY Ireland. These charities offered incredible support for our family in our darkest days. When we were catapulted into despair not knowing where to turn, these charities wrapped their arms around us and gave us a shoulder to lean on. Something we will be forever grateful for.
