“The public health community and policymakers must act to ensure greater awareness of cannabis harms among both teenagers and their parents.”

An interesting article in the Irish Examiner of a study that points to 'Adolescents who perceived parental ambivalence towards cannabis use had almost four times the odds of using cannabis. This is a very significant finding as it is a readily modifiable risk factor that may be targeted with prevention initiatives.

Auriculotherapy is a form of alternative medicine based on the idea that the ear is a micro system and an external organ, which reflects the entire body, represented on the auricle, the outer portion of the ear.
Conditions affecting the physical, mental or emotional health of the patient are assumed to be treatable by stimulation of the surface of the ear exclusively.

A recent article in the Irish Examiner by Liz Dunphy echoes what CSMT have been experiencing for the past 14 months and we continue to see young people in our service struggling with the impact of the substances in v**es/e-cigarettes. When will there be controls introduced that prevent life changing effects of these substances? Please read the article. If you are looking for support for your child then contact us on 061318904.
