Very sad to hear of the passing of Fr Sheedy, he was a great support to TEAMWORK music. Rest in Peace

On this November day, it is with a great sense of shock and sadness to our parish community that we learned of the sudden death of Fr. Michael in University Hospital, Limerick this morning. We extend our sympathy and think of his family, his many friends and colleagues throughout the diocese. Fr Michael a native of Cooraclare. Ordained in 1965. Spent 3 years in Dromore Diocese followed by a term in Birmingham. In 1972 Fr. Michael was appointed to Nenagh where he remained until his appointment here Kilrush in 1989. Funeral details will be announced later. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

We are sad to say, In line with recommendations from Health officials, we will be cancelling Kilrush St Patrick’s Day Parade. We would still encourage all businesses to decorate their windows and a prize will still be awarded, maybe we could all decorate our windows at home to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in a different way this year ☘️☘️. Take care of each other.❤️
