LE24 Campaign Concludes, Covering 36 Villages and Towns. Thank You Tuam Electoral Area!

I am delighted to conclude my canvassing for the 2024 local election today with my 'awe-mazing' team.

I started canvassing in March 2023, took a break between May and July, and resumed in August 2023. I remember people wondering why I was knocking on doors so early. That early start and effort made it possible to reach all 36 villages and towns in the Tuam Electoral Area.

As a new voice, I was intentional about introducing myself to as many residents as possible before the election. I wanted them to know me, and I was open to knowing residents and listening to their concerns. Thank you to the good people of the Tuam Electoral Area for opening your doors, reading my notes and fliers, and engaging with me.

I wish to thank everyone who canvassed with me at different stages, and those who supported with leafleting, putting up posters, dropping letters, providing moral support, donating to my campaign, helping with socials, and praying along with me.

With just a day until you choose your representatives for the next five years, I implore you to vote for experienced, strong, and dedicated candidates.

Please don't just vote based on political parties. That hasn't worked for us so far. Vote wisely and choose councillors who will advocate for you on sustainable development, infrastructure, housing and maintenance, well-being, youth development, and elderly and family support.

Vote for candidates with a proven track record of getting things done, making things happen.

Vote for candidates like me, who will ensure that Travellers and all marginalized communities in the Tuam area are included and supported to build an inclusive and vibrant community.

Vote for candidates like me, who will fight to create a more inclusive society with creative activities for young people to build their skills and support for people with special needs.

Vote for candidates like me, who will ensure that all council houses are maintained properly and that new ones are built to cater to the needs of all families.

Vote for a Councillor who, unlike Santa Claus, will connect with you all year round rather than once a year or, worse, every four years.

We have never had a Green Representative for the Tuam area. We need our own Green voice at the table, fighting for funding to ensure the Tuam area protects our environment and secures the future for our children.

Please give the Tuam area its first Green Party Councillor on the 7th of June. Vote Islammiyah Kadejo Number 1. I will not disappoint.

Self-care means doing things to keep your body and mind healthy. For me, it's not about looking good but feeling good. I'm not a fan of spending a lot of time on things like getting my nails done, but @ayo125_ suggested a type of nail treatment, so I gave it a try. What makes it self-care for me is the 30-40 minutes when someone with a TALENT for nails took care of me. During that time, I also found a shop where I bought a crate of eggs for €6 (cheaper). The treatment gives my nails its original French tip, making them look and feel natural. I'll have to see if it fits my budget 😅 Did you treat yourself to anything lately? Happy New Month!
