Marine Research; Extensive experience in design and delivery of internationally pioneering marine research in the field of shark ecology, spatial ecology and animal behavior. Environmental Education; Leaders in design and development of award winning community engagement initiatives and marine biology packages. Film Production Guiding; Over 10 Productions successfully guided including extensive experience with BBC Natural History Unit, Discovery Channel Shark Week, RTE and foreign language productions. Boat: The 8m RIB ‘Storm Petrel’ is fully licensed by the Department of Marine, is equipped with all the necessary safety equipment and also uses a demountable canopy for foul weather. Safety: The Skipper of Storm Petrel is Emmett Johnston. Emmett is a fully qualified passenger boat skipper with BIM, RYA and ISA and has excellent local knowledge of the Malin marine area. Emmett is a Level III UKSAR Medical Group casualty care responder and a Level 4 Remote Emergency Care Provider. Emmett is a passed out Helm on the Atlantic 85 Inshore lifeboat and Search Area Rescue Navigator on the Shannon Class Lifeboat at Lough Swilly RNLI Lifeboat Station. Area of Operations: Operating between Lough Foyle and Tory Island - including Malin Head, Lough Swilly/ Lough Foyle and Sheephaven Bay/ Horn Head areas.

Boat: Island Girl, is a Teaser 31 sportsfisher by Navimotors, she has excellent working deck space for fishing, research and media productions. There is onboard heads, galley and wheel house seating for comfort, no matter what the weather conditions are. Island Girl is equipped with twin VM Mercruiser 6 cylinder 220hp engines that give an efficient cruise speed of 16knots and max speed of 24knots. High powered commercial grade Fruno Radar and a 8.5” Hummingbird chirp sonar equipped with 3D Navionics charts give the latest in onboard electronics. All the necessary safety equipment to meet Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, class p3 standard: (merchant shipping (passenger boat) (amendment) regulations 2002.
