First Aid Supplies Collection in Gorey

🇮🇪 🤝 🇵🇱 🤝 🇺🇦
We never thought that one day we’ll be asking for support to help our neighbours fleeting the war affected Ukraine💔. For several days now, thousands of Ukrainian citizens (mainly women, children, the elderly) have been crossing Polish borders to find shelter. Our friends from the Folkowisko Association Folkowisko Festiwal , Chutor Gorajec (located close to the border with Ukraine) help refugees and transfer first aid resources directly to Ukraine. From the information we have obtained, the most needed are:

1. Medical first aid: Jelonet dressing for burns and skin loss wounds, disposable gloves, ace bandages, curved scissors, thermal blankets, tweezers, triangular bandages, plasters, gauze, gauze swabs, safety pins, clasps, disinfectants, antiseptic wipes, sterile compresses, elastic bands, painkillers, gel compresses for heating and cooling, cotton wool etc.

2. Financial aid: for food and fuel - the Folkowisko Association provides assistance with finding shelter, food, interpreter/translator and transport from the border to Gorajec and then into the interior of the country.

Nigdy nie przypuszczaliśmy, że nadejdzie dzień, w którym będziemy prosić o pomoc w związku z toczącą się wojną u naszych sąsiadów💔. Od kilku dni tysiące obywateli Ukrainy (głównie kobiety, dzieci, osoby starsze) przekracza polskie granice w celu znalezienia schronienia. Nasi znajomi ze Stowarzyszenie Folkowisko Folkowisko Festiwal, Chutor Gorajec (znajdującego się blisko granicy z Ukrainą) niosą pomoc uchodźcom oraz przekazują środki pierwszej pomocy bezpośrednio na Ukrainę. Z uzyskanych przez nas informacji, najbardziej potrzebne są:

1. Medyczne środki pierwszej pomocy: Jelonet-opatrunek na oparzenia i rany, rękawiczki jednorazowe, bandaże, nożyczki-zakrzywione, folie życia-koce termiczne, pęsety, chusty trójkątne, plastry, gazy, gaziki, agrafki, zapinki, płyny/chusteczki dezynfekcyjne, kompresy sterylne, opaski elastyczne, środki przeciwbólowe, żelowe kompresy stanowiące opatrunek grzejący i chłodzący, wata, leki uspakajające, etc.

2. Pomoc finansowa przeznaczona na wyżywienie oraz paliwo - Stowarzysznie Folkowisko udziela pomocy w formie zapewnienia schronienia, pożywienia, pomocy tłumacza oraz transportu z granicy do Gorajca a później w głąb kraju.
