Morning folk's I tried to write a post yesterday about a dog named Kodi who was PTS because he was a bull breed dog.

This is a general post and not aimed at anyone but for everyone and if you think it's about you the bigger question is, why you think this?

We are all responsible for the safety, wellbeing, and care of the dogs we own/co-own have bred, re-homed and for the most part this is true however there are a minority of people who are irresponsible and because of this all our dogs are effected and have serious consequences facing them in the future.

Any dog who is on the restricted breeds list and finds itself in any county pounds now will be PTS within a few days because of irresponsible people.

Whether you're an Owner, Breeder, Vet, Rescue, Dog Warden, Minister TD you have a duty to care for all these dogs safety. When you took up the role you find yourself in you took on an unspoken oath to care for these dogs.

We have to stand up and be accountable and in unity be the voice for all these dogs who never asked to be bred or owned or cared for by us we all collectively done this and now we need to become accountable for our actions and not let anymore dogs end up in the same situation as Kodi and many more like him.
However you can stand up for these dogs you have to put in a little more effort and maybe go through a few uncomfortable feelings while doing so but we can't not do anything anymore and turn a blind eye or pretend it's not happening because its not the dog's fault, it's ours. XL Bully Type Ban and the steps to save your dogs from being seized and euthanised.

We've had lots of questions from people who have asked us what they need to do to keep their dogs safe? So it's easier to do a post instead of lots of individual answers to people.

While we don't agree with the Ban we also don't want to see any persons dog being removed from the family home or taken while out walking regardless of it being an XL BULLY TYPE with a mix of various restricted breeds or a PEDIGREE BREED STANDARD AMERICAN BULLY with more than 10 generations of pedigree breed standard AMERICAN BULLY in the lineage who were breed without aggressive traits and as a companion breed. Most of the people speaking about these dogs don't know the breed standard and think they are mixed breeds of all sorts and while they exist and have been the dogs behind most of the attacks the real culprits are the irresponsible owners who leave the mess for responsible owners to suffer.
Please do the right thing by your dog as they have done right by you and follow the steps. Please share condolences to all the families who have been affected directly or indirectly. Thanks to John Gay for the poster and also attaching it to the link.

It's great that it's been bought for mention in the dail however there seems to be lots of confusion in relation to the American Bully particularly the XL variety.

There are WRITTEN STANDARDS for the BREED, in many registries including the FCI which is the overall body of all of the kennel clubs worldwide.

where do you think the government got the 19in, Blocky Head and Pump tail from for the XL, but would rather say they are a mix of all sorts of restricted breeds to create confusion amongst the gen public.

I have American Bullys not the XL variety and they are genuine true to the breed standard with pure breed ancestry pedigree paperwork dating back 20 odd years. So to portray they are a mix breed is misleading information.

We are a group of Protect Responsible Dog Owners Ireland who are standing up for the rights of responsible owners not to be punished for the actions of the minority of irresponsible people who have mixed the breed standards to try to make financial gains from creating the first this or that and blur the standard which has found us in this situation.

The American Bully was bred to be a companion dog with great definition and stand proud with an air of confidence, not to attack people or other animals.

Let's use the existing laws and enforce them and not follow other countries which is shown banning and creating mass genocide on a breed does not reduce attacks on other animals or maiming people.

I would also like to extend our sincere condolences to any families who have suffered as a result of out of control dogs and irresponsible owners my/our thoughts are with you all at this sad time. 🙏😭😭 Thank you for taking the time to read this post I know it's long but feel it's not long ENOUGH for the BREED to make an impact or bring the change they truly deserve.

IBRR INIT 2 WINIT and that's exactly what the dogs in the attached pictures set out to do on the day. First of all we'd like to thank all you guys who entered the show, really appreciate it. Show 1 judged by the Honourable Judge Veronika DognikBulls Voitovska for her wisdom and judgement on finding her RESERVE BEST in SHOW the newly crowned 1st IBRR Champion, LockDawg Kennels GrCh Nova. Owned and bred by Ryan Wheelock and Handled by Lee Brennan. Veronika's BEST in SHOW winner, was none other than the infamous Maurice Thomas Mcdowell Mo and his dog Rodders taking the honour. Owned by Floppy Bullz and handled by Mo. Veronika also went on to judge the Junior Handlers and it's always great to see the future in the ring and this turned into brother and sister in healthy competition both having won their age class, they go head to head and the victory goes to the younger of the two and in true IBRR style it was the ladies who took 1st place well done Bailey and not a loss in our eyes Kelvin took 2nd place. Well done to the pair of you. Keep coming back. Ring 2 the Honourable Judge Maťo Hvizdoš for his Judgements of all the dogs who came into ring 2. I had the privilege of being in the ring with him and got to learn loads from him as I asked him from time to time what was the deciding factor in his choices is elimination to find his RESERVE BEST in SHOW went to none other than our newly crowned Champion Freya owned and Handled by Anto Meehan congratulations lad ☝️ BEST in SHOW went to Ms Consistent none other than once again LockDawg Kennels GrCh Nova, she has to be the most decorated dogs in many registries who has come through our doors. As a special Fun show Monika Danuta Michalowska asked if she could bring her creation of Bully Mom to this show and we accepted, it was about the relationship between lady owner and her dog and 3rd place went to Edina of Irishsundragons and her french bulldog. 2nd went to Dawn and her beautiful English Bull Terrier, this brings me onto the Bully Mom Winner was Melissa Murphy with her little bully pup of ALR fertility clinic, congratulations. We'd also like to thank John Farrell for his consistent support with the Winners Plaques, Derek for the constant support and the super Stack Racks for the junior handlers. The Phodographer Dublin Ciaran Lane also puts a lot of work into capturing every single dog that comes through the both rings all day long. Jack in Emerald Equestrian centre for always accommodation and getting stuck in when we're setting up and taking down and storing equipment before and after. Francesco Panariello for all his support and superb workmanship. Tony and Margaret of Ardagh Rosettes. Last but not least Angela Birch and all of the IBTV team for always being on top of there game and consistently supporting IRISH BULLY RISING REGISTRY. Again thanks to everyone for their support.

IBRR INIT 2 WINIT Double Show 31st August booking is now open and looking forward to hopefully making some more Champions at this event. Be nice for a few of the XL class to pick up some more points towards becoming champion this show or next and having the title fulfilled for their owners and handlers. Irishbullytv we've committed to providing top quality shows for the community and look forward to doing so for the long haul. We have had many barriers in our way which together we've overcome and continue to do so providing we all stick together for the common good. We will do the announcement of the 2 Assigned Judges before the weekend for you guys to give a warm Irish welcome too. Thinking of Angela and all the Birch family on the passing of Joe who hung on to make the 64th wedding Anniversary with Josie 😭. We had a beautiful day of music he loved and songs we sang to help him pass on his final journey. Sail on Silver Man.
