Greg Manahan, a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology worked ten years in the advertising agency industry in Ireland on campaigns for international brands and indigenous clients. He became a director and subsequently managing director of arguably Ireland’s leading audio visual stage rental and live event production company Avcom. In 2004 he established iDirect Productions as a way back into the marketing services sector but client demand brought him closer to television and video production. In 2010 he traveled to Montana to train with Quadrocopter on heavy lift drones and has subsequently obtained a Special Operating Permission issued by the Irish Aviation Authority to operate drones commercially in Ireland.
iDirect Productions is now providing a range of television services to production houses in Ireland and abroad. The company’s work has been seen on CNN, WSJ Online, RTÉ, Éir Sports, BBC and Al Jazeera.
Greg has a huge affinity with the tourism and hospitality sector in Ireland with which he works extensively in both television and digital marketing. iDirect Productions boasts clients that include Dalata Hotel Group Plc, Tetrarch Hospitality, Slieve Russell Hotel and Golf Resort and Powerscourt Estate to mention but a few. The company also works closely with industry bodies such as the Irish Hotels Federation, Restaurants Association of Ireland and the Ireland Golf Tour Operators Association.
iDirect Productions has kept in with the live events market in being a partner with Avcom on providing crew and wireless HD camera technology. For event organisers the company also provides live streaming services whether it’s a small single camera set-up or a multi camera broadcast.
