On Phoenix Blues tonight, at 10pm, on 92.5 Phoenix FM, the show is a repeat of one from a few months ago. I'll have music by BB King, Tracy Chapman and Ella Fitzgerald. I'll also be featuring Ida Cox, with her brilliant song "Wild Women Don't Have the Blues", which was one of the first feminist songs, and music by Albert King, along with several songs by the Black Crowes, including their beautiful song "She Talks to Angels", a bit different from the usual blues, and their cover of the blues song "Shake Your Money Maker" featuring Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. Also coming up on tonight's show will be stuff by Mary Coughlan and Howlin' Wolf. Listen below to a few of the songs I'll be featuring tonight. Tune in on www.phoenixfm.ie if you live outside Dublin 15. Remember to catch the show on Saturday at 6pm if you don't hear it tonight, or listen to it on www.mixcloud.ie. I'm really pleased with this show, so I hope all my listeners enjoy it! 🎸
