New film Becoming Led Zeppelin celebrates the band’s legend but not the murky detail. Is it missing part of their appeal to a new generation, as a gritty alternative to sterile modern pop culture?

Becoming Led Zeppelin, released next week, is yet another new documentary on yet another old rock ’n’ roll band. No one’s been allowed to see the film before release — a throwback to the hair-tossing contempt with which Zeppelin treated the media, back when they mattered — so its contents ...

There’s nothing less fun than seeing people of varying degrees of fame having fun and constantly telling us how much fun they’re having, especially when licence-paying viewers are the ones picking up the tab for their fun

Not being a particular fan of celebrity travel shows, which tend to be more about the celebrities than the travel, High Road, Low Road (RTÉ1, Tuesday, January 28, 7pm) is not the kind of thing I’d usually go out of my way to watch.

While researching her film on the author’s life, director Sinead O’Shea was given her personal diaries to read. They recount numerous awful liaisons she had, including one with a British politician that almost ended her literary career — and her life

Q: I have a fantasy that I always wanted to try, but I’ve always been too afraid, or ashamed. Over Christmas, my wife and I had a really wonderful time, full of intimacy and time to ourselves. We had a few drinks one night and got to talking about fantasies or anything we wanted to tick off our bucket list. I told her that I wanted to try cuckolding with her, and that maybe we could find someone to explore this with. We enjoyed talking about it, but she hasn’t mentioned it since. I want to ask her again, but I worry she doesn’t think it’s a good idea. We are adventurous in many aspects so I do think this would work well with us, but maybe she thinks it’s a step too far. She is usually OK with talking about our s*x life, so I’m worried I have freaked her out by bringing this up. I don’t want to risk upsetting our relationship as I love my wife and would never do anything to jeopardise our marriage. As you can tell, I’m quite an anxious person anyway. How do I approach this with her in a way that feels comfortable?

Leo Woodall set hearts fluttering as Dex in Netflix’s smash-hit romantic drama One Day. Dex could be a bit of an ar****le, but at least he redeemed himself in the end. His latest character, on the other hand - Cambridge undergraduate and maths genius Edward Brooks in Prime Target - is just an ar****le, full stop
