🎙️ I am thrilled to announce the release of our latest podcast episode featuring an insightful discussion with two incredible guests, Jordan and Dr. Marc Feldman. In this episode, we delved into Jo's story, a survivor of medical abuse, specifically Munchausen by proxy. The conversation was eye-opening and filled with valuable insights that I believe are crucial for raising awareness and understanding of this form of abuse.
Here are three key takeaways from this thought-provoking episode:
1. The Impact of Medical Child Abuse: Jo shared her personal experience of being a victim of Munchausen by proxy, highlighting the long-lasting effects of such abuse on a child's physical and psychological well-being. The discussion shed light on the challenges survivors face in trusting themselves, their bodies, and the world around them.
2. Challenges Faced by Healthcare Professionals: Dr. Marc Feldman provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by healthcare professionals in identifying and addressing cases of medical child abuse. The conversation emphasized the importance of education and awareness among doctors, therapists, and other professionals to effectively support survivors and prevent further harm.
3. The Need for Support and Resources: The episode highlighted the critical need for support and resources for survivors of Munchausen by proxy. Organizations like Munchausen Support, led by Jordan, play a vital role in providing survivor support groups, consultations, and resources to help individuals navigate the complexities of their experiences and find healing.

By befriending and understanding our protective parts, we can start to unravel the deeper layers of our inner world and address the root causes of our emotional triggers. This process allows us to connect with the exiled parts of ourselves that hold onto feelings of inadequacy or unworthiness, often stemming from past experiences or childhood trauma. By building a relationship with these exiled parts, we can offer them compassion, understanding, and healing, ultimately leading to a greater sense of wholeness and authenticity.

inhibitory emotions: Anxiety, Shame & Guilt
There are three types of inhibitory emotions discussed: anxiety, shame, and guilt.
These inhibitory emotions can prevent us from fully experiencing and processing our core emotions, leading to symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and other defense mechanisms. The goal is to recognize and validate these inhibitory emotions, allowing us to access and work through our core emotions healthily and constructively.
