📩Registration opens July 15th for the 9th edition of The European Arthouse Cinema Day. Since 2016 more than 700 cinemas in over 40 countries have participated in the event with special screenings, guests, debates and exhibitions!

📽️ On the 17th of November, participating cinemas will have the opportunity to join a worldwide event dedicated to the power of European Films and the crucial role of arthouse cinemas. By screenings films and organising events on this day, cinemas will stand up for the values of the arthouse sector and get support for the communication as well as programming of the event.

In association with Paradiddle Pictures and Coimisiún na Meán, MEDIA Office Galway will host a DocCelerator workshop in Galway on the 14th and 15th October, 2024.

DocCelerator Galway is a 2-day Documentary story and script development programme. If you are a documentary maker wanting a more focused story and a clearer dramaturgical structure for your project this format is for you. The workshop will help you define and develop the key structural narrative elements of your film.

Creative Europe MEDIA Programme in Ireland

Creative Europe Desk Ireland has two specialist MEDIA information offices, one based in Dublin and one in Galway. We offer comprehensive information on the European Union’s Creative Europe Programme and specifically the MEDIA sub-programme. We provide advice, support and information on Creative Europe funding support for the audiovisual industries including film, television and games. You can meet with us in one-to-one advice sessions or by coming along to the events we organise throughout the year. We are also available to respond to any queries you have about the programme over the phone and on email. The Creative Europe Desk MEDIA Office Galway serves as a regional MEDIA office and also has a remit to provide information and services as Gaeilge to the growing Irish language audio-visual community.
