Really digging this Rupert Neve Designs Master Buss Processor. It's such a versatile tool. I was fearing I would miss my Cranesong STC8, but no! I'm still discovering this unit but so far on all the sessions I tried it on, it didn't disappoint.

I’m digging more and more the passive Pultec section of this Bettermaker mastering Eq. It works great for subtle low end lift with a a bit of cut around the transition frequency. I’ve always found really helpful this type of resonant shelf introduced by Michael Guerzon.

New comprehensive metering by TC Electronic. Great set of tools run over AES, so no plugin to be set in the DAW. Whatever comes out of the monitors is mirrored on this unit. Bonus: it freezes some spaces on my main screen.

New colour module added to my Colour Duo palette: Louder Than Liftoff Pentode mk2. With a real subminiature NOS Raytheon vacuum tube 👾
First impressions on a session: it sounds great. Perfect for adding 3D sheen, mid range harmonic enhancement and increase the perceived loudness of a track. Particularly suited for in-the-box mixes.

I’m turning into a big fan of the SessionRecall software for the accurate visual recall of my analog chain when I need to go back to a session for revisions or different master versions. Much faster for me than writing the session log with all the parameters value.

Fine tuning of the 15IPS Colour module to a more usable mastering-friendly operating range.
First tests and it sounds great! Nice tape vibe with a gentle touch of saturation to bring life to an ITB mix 👾

I finished building this new addition to my mastering chain: the colour duo by DIYRE. The colour system is such a great system for hot swappable colour modules. I’ll be using this as a tone / mojo box with a selection of transfo, tape simulation and analog magic box.
That was a long build putting this kit together but a great DIY experience and I learned a lot about the electronic design of a piece of outboard.

I’ve been using Magix Samplitude for mastering since 2000. I’ve never looked back. I haven’t found similar workflow, tools and control with other DAW.
For me the strongest point with this software is the object base editing.
The end of the mix cuts abruptly, no problem, just add a tiny bit of reverb on an object for the last bar and voilà!
