✍️Short Story Competition ✍️

In Summer 2025 we will be releasing an anthology of twisted fairytales.

What is a twisted fairytale?

It's a story that takes an existing fairytale or myth and twists it in unexpected way. A popular example is the 'Once Upon a Time' tv show or 'Wicked' by Gregory Maguire

Competition guidelines

To enter our anthology contest your story must be a twisted fairytale with a maximum word count of 2500.

You must be over 18 to enter.

There is a €10 entry fee to be paid via PayPal or Stripe.

The top 3 entries will receive a cash prize and publication in our anthology.

A number of runner up entries will also make it into 'Twisted Tales'

Competition will open on October 18th and close February 28th.

Winners will be announced in April 2025 and publication will be released in Aug 2025.

More information and some helpful tips will be shared over the coming weeks.

Our last batch of 'Once Upon A December' books has arrived. I'll send when post office reopens next week. We raised €200 for 'Dogs for the Disabled' which has now been forwarded. Hopefully it can help this amazing charity in some small way. Thank you to all who supported this publication.

Hi everyone I hope you had a great Christmas and 2022 is a bit better for us all. I'm in the process of rethinking our organisation. We had a much smaller interest in our Christmas publication both from writers and purchases and the magazine I had hoped to launch garnered almost no interest. I'm not sure where I go from here but as soon as I figure it out I'll let you know. I'm also aware that there is still a batch of orders of 'Once Upon A December' that have yet to arrive. I am told this is all to do with Brexit. I am following this up regularly to and will also keep sharing updates as I have them. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately it is out of my control.

All orders placed before November first should know have arrived to you all. For those who ordered after this date I am awaiting the next delivery of 'Once Upon A December' as soon as I have them I will let you know. You can still order your copy but I can't guarantee they will arrive for Christmas.
