Finally in the door home after 6 hours of 45 minutes worth of travel [inclusive of the 214 bus service from the city centre up here to The Lough, and a layover in Dublin]. it's absolutely great to be back, thank you again good citizens of Belfast, your whimsy is inspirational, much love to all.
Now normally we'd do the Monday Show 3.0 but we're going to take a little break this week:
The reasons are manifold:
1. Absolutely exhausted after the journey. I know, f**k it, it's worth it going to spend time with people you love and hold dear, but the journey forth and back still absolutely will have an effect. Bus lag we'll refer to it thusly.
2. My diction and manner of communication is somewhat erm...let's just say I am susceptible to picking up local speech idioms and tone and intonation almost automatically [echolalia, it's oddly one of the fun parts of the spicy experience] and being in Belfast for a few days, whilst I didn't go the full hog and turn into Big Jim from Andy'town, there's a fair bit of Belfastian nuance to my current level speech, it's pretty much actually half in half right now.
3. Most importantly, tonight actually there will be a live in the studio session from Cardiacs and Tim Smith's Spratleys thats going to be on BBC Radio 6 tonight at 9pm. We're all aware that I'm a huge fan of the Cardiacs universe and was over recently in London for the Sing to Tim event and that to me was something of renaissance for me as a person, to some degree, so I'd advise all who do listen into the Monday Show 3.0 on a regular basis, to instead at 9pm come along here and listen in live:

The Riley and Coe show always has amazing tunes, so you're in for a massive treat and also having a live set from Cardiacs and Spratleys will be just the best way possible to enter a new week.
