A short performance of “Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears”, a song telling the story of Irish emigrants who left Cobh, Co. Cork, in search of a new life in America.

The first immigrant ever processed at Ellis Island was Annie Moore, a 15-year-old girl from Cork, who arrived on January 1, 1892. Her journey symbolises the hope, fear, and sacrifice carried by millions who followed.
