Beloved slice shop Frankie’s has just announced they will be closing their doors for good 💔

Taking to Instagram to make the announcement, they mention:

“It’s with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have decided to no longer continue with Frankie’s.

“We’re extremely proud of what we’ve achieved in such a short time giving it our all to serve quality pizza to the public of Cork.

“It’s widely known how difficult it is to operate food business in today’s current climate in cork city and ultimately that has led to this decision.

“A huge thanks to our staff and supporters. See you on the next venture.“

The newly renamed ‘CRAFT’ bar and restaurant will be open to the public mid-March and will feature a brand new layout, improved food & beverage menu, tasteful interior and up to 25% extra seating 👏🏻

Works are due to commence on January 20th and should take about 2 months.

A new cocktail bar will also be constructed on the site of the existing Craft Lane Kiosk (adjacent to Gate 7) which is due to open January 31st 🍸

Throughout the course of the refurbishment, passengers will be able to get alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from Roasted Notes Café and Wine Bar along with the existing food court.

Cork City Fire Brigade rescued a dog trapped inside a burning house over the weekend 🔥

The team administered oxygen to the dog using a specialised canine resuscitation kit, and the dog thankfully made a full recovery 🐶

The team fought hard to contain the fire and thankfully there were no serious injuries.
