Don't forget to vote tonight for Leila Jane - first song (1st) on the RTÉ One Late Late Show in the Irish Eurovision Song Contest Selection competition. And remember - we discovered Leila first at Guth Gafa :) So when she's (more) famous, hope she'll come back to Kells and sing some songs for us. But tonight, please watch AND vote for Leila. Her song is called Wild. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEiCSY4EVL4&ab_channel=LeilaJane

"And what if?"
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles announce the long-list of 15 films tomorrow in the Oscars category Best Feature Documentary. Young Plato is one of nearly 150 films competing for the coveted 15 slots. We'll let you all know right here when the list is announced. People may think this is all a dream, but hey, if we can't dream...
One of headmaster Kevin Mc Arevey 's philosophical questions written on the Philosophy Board outside his office is "And what if?"

Dear independent cinemas of UK and Ireland

Without your unwavering support for independent films like Young Plato we would not survive. Thank you for believing in us - all of us who are working in the independent film sector.

Young Plato is a small miracle film that has far surpassed what we hoped and dreamed for it. Nominated for Best Documentary at International Documentary Association awards British Independent Film Awards and Satellite Awards
and now a strong contender for The Academy and BAFTA awards. Genuinely we would not be at this point without the independent cinemas who showed our film earlier this year.

Voting for the BAFTAs is open now and continues until 30th December. Please help a true independent, self-distributed UK / Irish film get on the BAFTA long list by please sharing this to your pages in Ireland and UK
