Once again the historic bells of St Nicholas rang out across Galway city, but this time for the Irish rugby team. Here Gary Browne plays Ireland's Call which pealed through the city last Saturday. These iconic bells continue to be a call of support, presence, hope and joy to us all this weekend. Enjoy.

New folk musical 'In the Midst of Plenty' is touring Ireland to sell-out nights and overwhelming audience response; show is coming to @WestportTownHall June 13 and 14.
Roscommon-based Enchanted Croí Theatre has recently embarked on its nationwide tour of ‘In the Midst of Plenty,’ a new folk musical set in the time of the Great Irish Famine. The show tells a story of courage, strength, and survival, and features a live on-stage folk band and a cast of some of Ireland’s best-loved actors and folk musicians, led by Julie Sharkey.
‘In the Midst of Plenty’ is touring to the Town Hall Theatre Westport on Tuesday June 13 and Wednesday June 14.
“Having been involved with the National Famine Museum at Strokestown Park for over four decades, I have seen many Famine-related performances of varying standards, and this is singularly the best Famine-related piece I have ever seen,” said Caroilin Callery, director of the National Famine Way.
Written by California-based singer-songwriter Amy Day and directed by Anne-Marie O'Sullivan of Enchanted Croi Theatre, the piece amplifies the seldom-told stories of impoverished women and their families who endured during the time of the Great Irish Famine.
