Update from Ira:

Eoghan had a successful gastrostomy removal surgery May 26th

Stayed two night at the hospital and now is back to home-care. He is no longer at the Natural Healing Center. It was not the right place for the recovery of Eoghan It did not provide the services that Eoghan needed. We are planning to go to a bigger city called Bogota. The place we are at now is small and does not have a center for rehabilation that specialize in TBI.

We will keep you all posted as soon as we have more news Many thanks and gratitude for the support to Eoghan

An article about Rex Ingram from a few years ago. Kinnitty gets quite a few mentions and an acknowledgment to Joe Molloy who was a tailor in the village during that era. Interestingly a play called ‘For King and Kinnitty’ also gets a mention. Thanks to Sean de Cleir for sharing.

When the Hitchcocks left Ireland in the 1910s they went on very different paths. One, Rex Ingram, became a Hollywood great, directing ‘The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse’. The other, Frank Hitchcock, became a distinguished soldier and chronicler of life in the trenches

An update from Eoghan’s mother Ira: ‘
Eoin is doing much better today December 1st. He had surgery to remove fluid from the pleural cavity space on Monday 30th. He is again under anesthesia, but appears more at ease then yesterday. Yesterday he was visibly struggling to breathe. However, he is back on track. We are extremely grateful for all outpouring of prayers, support, and love. He is on the road to recovery. We understand now that his journey will be long. Thanks again for everything, the masses, the prayers. It makes an incredible different to us and to Eoin.’
