In the interest of safety for all Staff, Students and Parents, BVS buildings will be closed tomorrow Thursday 9th January 2025 due to the current and predicted weather and travel conditions.

Parents/Guardians please all link in with School TYRO messages for updates in relation to students school work at home.

Can we please express a big THANK YOU to all our wonderful students today who took time to engage with some of our elderly members in our community making sure they were okay for supplies.

Thank you also to our BRILLIANT young farmers of BVS and Ballymahon who kept water pumping, animals attended to and milk delivered.

Some disruptions today for Local Link

❄ Service Update 10:00am ❄

865 Granard to Longford service is operating a reduced service and will not serving Ennybegs due to road conditions.

819 Mullingar to Athlone service will commence from Mullingar @ 11.20am.
It will be operating a reduced service. It will not be serving Belvedere House Gardens &, Castletown Geoghegan, Mount Temple and Baylin on any services today due to road conditions.

571 Arigna to Boyle via Drumshanbo service will operate
Drumshanbo to Boyle via Carrick on Shannon only today.

LR15 Legan to Longford via Carrickboy is CANCELLED.

All other services are operating as normal with some delays expected due to weather conditions. Some services may not be able to operate along rural roads.

Irish Kidney Association

1 Day To Go !!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Registration from 3:30pm

€20 per tractor / vehicle, payable at entrance. Please have exact amount on you. All proceeds go to Irish Kidney Association Longford Branch Longford Branch.

Tea and coffee will be available to all drivers after registration.

At approx 5pm, participants will leave the airfield in Abbeyshrule and through the village:
- Into Colehill via Long Avenue .
- Through Tashinny
- On to Barry Village
- Into Foigha from Kilcommack
- ... and into Ballymahon.

Please Note: the airfield is for tractors ONLY. No spectators are allowed into this area.

Drivers are asked to disperse home after Ballymahon.

A big THANK YOU to Farmer phil and Stewart Family Farm for sponsoring prizes again for the following:
