Ballybunion News is currently seeking a title sponsor (Business or Individual) for two new features in the upcoming weeks.
One will be a weekly feature in the printed online publication, looking back at events in Ballybunion over the last one hundred years or so, while the other will be a series of fortnightly podcasts which explore the social history and current day in the town and its environs.
The written feature “Rolling Back the Years” will browse through local and national newspaper archives to take a look at the items that made the news in Ballybunion over the last one hundred years or so.
The podcasts entitled “Tune in to Ballybunion” will feature interviews with various people, who will recall events in the town of the past and the not so distant past, including such topics as Beale’s Glory Years in North Kerry Football, Famous Visitors to the town, the Bachelor Festival, the Marconi story and Ballybunion’s famous ballrooms, to mention but a few.
