Three major tips I can give to you before coming to Finland in December:

1. Dress Warmly: Layer up with high-quality thermal clothing—temperatures can be extreme! I sometimes wore 4 pants and 6 sweaters.

2. Plan Ahead: Book your accommodation, tours, and rental car early to save money and secure spots, as tours often sell out!

3. A rental car is essential for getting around easily in this remote, magical region. In my opinion this is the only way to get around here and to hunt the northern lights on your own!
