Roland Nagy is a sound engineer, ex media arts student, and producer who started his F͇a̹u̼s̚t͌o̲ M̤e̝r͗̍͊cͥi͎e̵r̶ project in 2016, so far appeared on Unlog, EXILES, Kaer'Uiks, Pointless Geometry, Genot Centre (rip) and Dióbél Kiadó. His work in the field of electronic music production, while resonating with hardcore digital culture and bouncy rhythmic heaviness, is closely connected to his fascination for natural soundscapes and their fractal nature. In particular, the artist skillfully manages to depict a violent, tense world populated of minuscule yet grand sound variations, intertwined in a web of apparently chaotic textures.
Fausto already performed: at Trafó Klub in a hybrid-stream-plague rave thing during the pandemic (held in collab with Daddypower Records), Bratislava's FUGA, festivals like Kolorádó, SIMULTAN Festival, Festival Grounded, ATOM festival and INOTA Festival, at Nomád Bár after a heavy summer rain with Butoh dancer Brigitta Horváth, deconstructed the spaces of I K L E C T I K London, Magyar Zene Háza, Turbina, Macao in Milan (invited by Kuthi Jin's CLAM label), in the void of 4DSOUND Budapest, the basement of art quarter and on many more twisted floors, remixed ABADIR, NESSO, Nemerov and Klahrk.

asvanyviz2's music is symptomatic of the digital/online music cultures that lurk in the black waters of Soundcloud profiles and NYP Bandcamp uploads: tough genreless beats break the surface of emotional maturity and instability, launching from hybrid-club workouts to ambient gabber with dashes of breakcore percussion littering the background. They already performed at gigs like INOTA Festival, JazzaJ, Tilos Maraton 2023 and Swine Daily's Kabinet MÚZ showcase in Brno. You can also find asvany’s music on different compilations released by 111records, formforum, and Exiles Electronics.

They introduced their distinctive sound in a collaboration with noise doom legend shum in 2021, which was followed by a self-released title "asvanycore". "brain fog" (2022) was asvany's first release on EXILES, premiered by Inverted Audio, documenting a strange confusing period in the artist’s life. The renowned EP met support by Oramics' dogheadsurigeri, dnb legends Camo & Krooked and Chinabot artist Arexibo to name a few.

From then things accelerated steadily: countless gigs and collaborations, asvanyviz2 appeared on "XPERI22" the talent scout compilation by Telekom Electronic Beats, 111records' Sync VA, remixed DB Armitage, plastic pet and yibai, published another EP "terraforma" which clearly showed the development of a diligent and humble artist, launched a collaboration exploring Hungarian folk themes with their partner in crime SUTA (Igric, 2023), recorded mixes for Ola Radio, Radio Benska and Lahmacun radio. ‘Parent I (with Thea Soti)’ is a gradually building opening track, starting with only a handful of audio channels of scratches, hisses and a high-pitched tone. In a smooth and subtle manner, the vocals of Soti then fade into the dense fabric of sounds that unfold, engaging in a plethora of expressions, supported by a bass progression resembling a chorale-like structure. ‘Parent II’ is centered around an instrumental piece, a string-like leitmotif surrounded by whispers and echoes that are bright and piercing, as well as light and cumbersome at the same time.

“Singing Warmia” by Zosia Hołubowska is an attempt to deal with the lack of family archives and the inability to establish a relationship with the place of birth.

Instead of family stories, the album's material is photos of the artist's favorite places around Olsztyn (capital city of Warmia region), which were sonified using processes designed by the artists. Zosia Hołubowska follows Saidiya Hartman's critical fabulation, that is, the transformation of history that counters the violence of historical representations and archives. Singing Warmia expresses both the pain of exile and the gloomy beauty of the abandoned landscape: the slow current of the river grazed by tree branches.
