✨🎥 Spotlight Filmmaker of the 2nd Annual Women's Movie Night! 🎥✨
𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐞 is a seasoned filmmaker and cultural leader with over 20 years of experience focusing on Black Global stories. Rachelle's career highlights include documenting diverse subjects such as the gentrification of Harlem, the Haitian Guantanamo Bay experience, and Macadamia Nut planting experiments in Guatemala. She was part of the inaugural class of Sundance Institute Screenwriters Intensive Fellows in Miami (2015) and received the "Beacon of Hope and Achievement" award from the General Consulate of the Republic of Haiti. Her second feature documentary, LA BELLE VIE: THE GOOD LIFE, earned her an Emmy nomination in 2016. Recognized as a "Knight Arts Champion" by the Knight Foundation in 2017, she is celebrated for her impactful cinematic programming with Ayiti Images and Black Lounge Films. Currently, Rachelle's documentary MADAME P**I is airing on PBS' REEL SOUTH season 7.

She served as the Artists Institute Executive Director in Haiti, spearheading impactful initiatives and creating content for high-profile clients to revitalize the institute and empower Jacmel's artistic community. At the Miami Film Festival, she served as a Special Programmer, curating films about the Global African Diaspora focusing on diverse narratives and cultural representation. Meet 𝗞𝗲𝘇𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻
Keziah Jean is a Haitian filmmaker and a graduate of the Ciné Institute, a film school founded by Artists for Peace and Justice in Haiti. She began her career as a journalist and musician before transitioning to filmmaking.

In 2011, Keziah Jean joined Sean Penn's humanitarian organization, J/P HRO, where she worked as a visual communications specialist for six years. During this time, she spent most of her efforts filming, directing, and editing documentaries in various refugee camps in Port-au-Prince, where thousands of people lived under challenging conditions.

In 2016, she furthered her training by attending the international documentary workshop at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles.

Keziah has collaborated as a director of photography with several major productions, including Serial Pictures, Farm League, 30 Ninjas Films by director Doug Liman, and the Inter-American Foundation.

After the recent earthquake in Haiti in August 2021, Keziah was commissioned by FePouLi.Org and the Artists Institute to create a documentary capturing Haitian solidarity, titled ESKWAD.

In July 2022, her first feature film in development, Sérénade, was selected by the Francophone Creation Fund Commission.

Born in Santo Domingo and raised in Miami, her creations challenge systems of oppression and explore the rich intersection of tradition and revolution.

🌍 As a Forward Fellow of Third Horizon, she developed her debut film *Te Amo Tanto, Pero Eres Tan Difícil*.

Currently Head of Development at Easy Mondays, Berenicé continues to shape powerful narratives in film.

✨ Alexandra Rodriguez is a digital storyteller born and raised in Miami, Florida. Her personal work centers around themes of culture, family, and identity. Though she has previously worked as a sports photographer for the athletic association at the University of Florida. She has also led freelance multimedia projects on topics such as The Washington Ballet and food insecurity in the D.C. Metro area. Her most recent project explores her Cuban-American identity and how her family preserves its culture over generations. She holds a bachelor's degree in Advertising from the University of Florida and a Master of Art in New Media Photojournalism from the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University. She is currently based in D.C. but splits her time between there and Miami.

Alexandrine Benjamin is a Haitian filmmaker. She directed N Ap Boule, an award-winning short film that tells the heartbreaking story of a pregnant Haitian couple during the "Peyilòk", a socio-political movement in Haiti. She also acted as project manager for Lakou Kajou, a children's animated series for which she directed "Justice for Fara", a short segment finalist at Prix Jeunesse 2022 produced by the American media company Blue Butterfly. In celebration of International Women's Day, we at the 1804 Renaissance extend our deepest gratitude to the remarkable women who have shared their knowledge, passion, and vision on our platform. Their diverse contributions have enriched discussions around key areas vital to personal and community growth within the Haitian community and beyond.

Lucia Dominique Pascale Solages, an advocate for gender equality and social justice, is set to join us, promising insights into creating inclusive communities. Dr. Marie Celestin illuminated the significance of wellness in achieving a balanced life, while Katiana Carré navigated us through the complexities of finance with grace and expertise. Dr. Guerda Nicolas shifted our perspectives on the importance of mindset in overcoming challenges and achieving success.

Entrepreneurship found a strong voice in Dapheney Dolce, who inspired with her journey of innovation and resilience. Dr. Carolle Jean-Murat offered invaluable advice on stress management, teaching us the importance of self-care amidst life's trials. Each of these women has not only shared their expertise but also their personal journeys, making every episode a source of inspiration and empowerment.
