Ever wonder why some brands look polished while others don’t?

Mark’s story has the answer.

A fitness trainer, let’s call him Mark, had everything going for him—except his website. His workouts were top-notch, his client results were fantastic, but something was missing.

Mark had no clue about brand style guides, especially when it came to fonts. His site was a mismatch of styles, with bold, jagged fonts clashing against delicate, flowing scripts.

It didn’t matter how amazing his programs were because his audience was distracted by the chaotic look. Than, one day, he was talking to a graphic designer and learned about font pairing.

Once he paired the right fonts—bold for his headers, clean and simple for his body text—the difference was night and day. His website suddenly looked cohesive, professional, and most importantly, approachable.

Mark’s new font combination gave his fitness brand the polished look it needed to attract high-paying clients, even before they read a single word.

The right font pairing was the bridge between Mark’s knowledge and how his audience perceived him.

After searching high and low, she finally stumbled upon a well-known, luxury brand’s website.
It seemed like her quest was about to end... until she clicked "add to cart."

But nothing happened.

Confused, she tried again, only to find that the shopping cart was practically useless. The frustration began to build. Determined to get the wallet, she reached out to customer support. After a series of back-and-forth messages, they advised her to try again.

So, she did. But as if things weren’t hard enough, the search bar didn’t work, and the menu was a mess. Browsing through endless pages, she had to manually find the wallet. A task that should've been quick and simple became an annoying, time-consuming ordeal.

At this point, her patience was wearing thin, but she persisted. Why? Because she really needed that wallet – she had no other options nearby that matched her style.

Finally, after what felt like a battle, she managed to place the order. But the emotional toll of such a poor user experience had already been taken.

When the wallet arrived, it wasn’t what she expected at all. It was massive, more like a small handbag than the sleek wallet she had imagined. Overcome with frustration from her previous experience, she hadn’t even bothered to check the dimensions.

In the end, she couldn’t help but think, "If only their website had worked better." She wouldn’t have been so stressed or ended up with the wrong product. And most of all, she knew that she’d never visit that website again. For all their luxury and branding, they’d lost a customer simply because their webshop was a disaster.
