The row between Washington & Brussels over censorship adds some 'color' to the SDP's claims that the EC's proposed Chat Control regulation is a bid to introduce a system of mass surveillance over all EU citizens.

The European Union, France and Germany have condemned Washington's decision to ban European citizens from entering the EU over alleged censorship of US internet platforms. Brussels announced on Wednesday that it could respond "swiftly and decisively" to "unjustified measures."

According to unions a Christmas basket for a family of three is more expensive than ever this year, with a high end traditional basket coming in at €626. Based on the union’s calculations the average basket will cost €250, while the modest or low-end basket will cost citizens €140.
