U Nepalu sam posjetio živu božicu Kumari Devi. Vjernici smatraju da se u ovu djevojčicu nastanio duh božice Taleju Bhawani i da posjeduje njezinu moć i da komunicira s njom i dijeli blagoslove. Proces biranja božice je vrlo složen, konzultiraju se astrolozi, istražuje povijest obitelji, djevojčica mora imati posebne oči i biti vrlo lijepa.

Jednom kada je odaberu, ona više ne smije nogama doticati tlo. Ne smije više izaći iz kuće u kojoj se nalazi. Nema nikakav dodir s ostalom djecom ili sa stvarnim životom. Njezin život "božice" trajat će do prve menstruacije, a može se dogoditi da siđe s trona i ranije ako se ozlijedi i tako joj potekne krv.

Jer bogovi i božice ne krvare. Jednom kad joj dođete u audijenciju, ona sa svojim pogledom ne smije izraziti niti jednu emociju jer vjeruju da je pogled vrlo moćan, da ima božansku energiju. Izrazi li bilo kakvu emociju to će vam nanijeti veliku nesreću. Kumari mi je udijelila blagoslov za sreću, za obitelj, za moju vjeru.

Tu sam da poštujem sve vjere i ne sudim, no imao sam dojam da ovo nije samo pitanje njihove religije, već i biznisa. Morate platiti da bi vas primila, ali da i nije toga nekako me uhvatio i nemir i tuga, jer ja pred sobom nisam vidio božicu, već djevojčicu kojoj je ukradeno djetinjstvo. Jednom kad se Kumari vrati u običan život, a nakon ovakve izolaciji i božanskog tretmana, posljedice su vrlo teške.

Ona nema nikakvih socijalnih vještina, javljaju se brojni psihološki problemi, često ostaje sama jer ovdje vjeruju da će, ako ožene bivšu Kumari umrijeti za godinu dana. Koliko god je veličanstveno doći u Nepal i zateći se u neposrednoj blizini žive božice, toliko je sve ovo i pomalo tužno.

Looking back on an incredible adventure deep in Western Mongolia, where I completely unplugged and embraced a whole new way of life. For a full week, I left behind the comforts of internet, showers, and electricity, and found myself amidst the rugged Altai mountains. It was a real-life nomadic experience that blew me away!

Out there, the nomads live in harmony with their animals, finding everything they need to survive and thrive. From these amazing creatures, they get their food, make incredible stuff like cheese and cashmere, and even find warmth from, wait for it... animal p**p! Talk about resourcefulness, right?

Being disconnected from the city craziness and fully present in this simple existence brought so much joy. Surrounded by jaw-dropping landscapes and genuine smiles from the nomads, I felt a happiness that can't be measured in likes or status updates. It's the little things, the serenity, and the connections that truly matter.

Gratitude doesn't even begin to cover it. I'm beyond thankful for this incredible journey. It reminded me that life's greatest pleasures can be found in simplicity, in appreciating nature's wonders, and in genuine human connections. Forever grateful to the nomads for sharing their world with me.

Lost amidst the rugged beauty of Western Mongolia, I found my sense of adventure and felt truly alive! 🏞️✨ Meeting the legendary eagle hunters was an experience like no other. The mountains embraced me, the eagles mesmerized me, and I couldn't help but marvel at the raw power of nature. It's a dream come true to finally check off this destination from my bucket list, and the memories will forever hold a special place in my heart. 🦅❤️
