KUĆA OD NEBA I SUNCA

We are less than 3 days away from the release of our single “Kuća od neba i sunca” and people are asking… what can they expect? What will the song be like? What was the inspiration?

I can’t say too much at this point… BUT I can tell you that JACQUES HOUDEK originally wrote this song for the late Vinko Coce. When we were in the car after having recorded, we talked about how it was written with him in mind. This is a huge honour for us because we have always looked up to Vinko Coce since we first learned the song Vilo Moja almost 13 years ago.

What do we want people to know about this song?

For us it is about our story and our journeys so far, my grandparents grew up in Samoa with not much money and came to New Zealand for a better life. They worked hard and eventually bought their own house. My mom grew up in that house and to this day it’s still our Mala Kuća Od Neba i Sunca. No matter where we go in the world we can always come back to home 🏠

We can’t wait for you all to hear it - it is the perfect combination of easy melody and simple but powerful words with our voices and our hearts. This song is a summary of our journey thus far and a presentation of our experiences growing and learning from the Croatian community and from all our friends and fans that we have made around the world.

Finally it is the perfect song to launch this year and our recording relationship with Croatia Records and our producers and team at Rubikon studio because it is a song that resonates in a strong way with those of us in diaspora. Far away from our maternal homeland, seeking something more, but always yearning for home for the Mala Kuća where our heart finds peace and rest.

The song will be released on CMC at 12h Zagreb time and on 24Sata and YouTube at 13h
