So I open this Nebbiolo and it’s a little fizzy. And I have a moment of dismay, as you would. Then I look at the back label and it says this wine is modeled on Nebbiolo from the 17th -18th centuries, when it was light and fizzy… and my mind is blown. It’s everything a Nebby-nerd could want!

Rice noodle salad with shrimp and fresh herbs for dinner, and I was fresh out of Riesling! It was Pušipel to the rescue (that’s Furmint, fyi) and it was fantastic with every aspect of this dish: fish sauce-based dressing, fresh mint/basil/cilantro, shrimp… Can’t wait to try more Asian dinners with Pušipel!
