Ink paintings have long captivated audiences with their free-flowing strokes, dynamic compositions, and timeless charm. Now in its third edition, the UOB Art in Ink Festival, organized by the UOB Art Academy, honors the unique art form, offering a thoughtful celebration of tradition and innovation.

Running from December 13 to 29 at the Arts Pavilion in West Kowloon Cultural District, the festival brings together artistry, interactivity and cultural dialogue within the ink realm.

Phase 1 of the “Live out the Cinematic Charm of Hong Kong” Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In Exhibition, which debuted at Hong Kong International Airport in October, was well-received by locals and visitors alike. It has been relocated to Kowloon City, the setting of the movie, and started Phase 2 (until 13 April 2025) of the Exhibition.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), Nan Fung Group AIRSIDE, and the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), together with the filmmakers, have created an expanded exhibition that will allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the movie sets. Several all-new photo spots and Easter eggs shots that were not included in the movie have been added, and visitors can take home movie-related merchandise, ranging from nostalgic snacks and toys to film collectibles from new stalls at the Exhibition. Locals and visitors are invited to explore Hong Kong through the lens of the movie and discover new travel experiences.

Presented by the creative brand AllRightsReserved, Hong Kong’s largest panda-themed exhibition, PANDA GO! FEST HK, has been making waves since its debut!

To further promote panda culture and raise awareness about conservation, the exhibition is launching two major "Shared with All" fundraising initiatives. The PANDA GO! SPECIALS Charity Auction invited ten celebrities from various fields to reimagine the original panda sculptures with their unique creativity and personal styles, giving the pandas a brand-new image.

PANDA GO! SPECIALS Charity Auction is now live on the DDTStore online platform, accepting public bids starting at HK$3,000. The auction will close at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 13. Conducted in a highest-bidder-wins format, all proceeds from the auction will be donated in full, without any deductions, to Ocean Park to support giant panda conservation efforts.

Hong Kong's largest panda exhibition, PANDA GO! FEST HK, kicked off its first public showcase on December 7-8 at the Avenue of Stars. 2,500 pandas from all corners of the world have arrived at the Avenue of Stars. PANDA GO! FEST HK features eight new giant panda designs, along with six Hong Kong-exclusive IP collectively named “Panda Friends & Family Hong Kong (PFF HK),” forming a total of 2,500 panda sculptures.

Following this exhibition, the 2,500 pandas will continue to tour various iconic Hong Kong landmarks, hosting three additional spectacular public exhibitions. Each venue will adjust the number of panda sculptures displayed based on its size and layout, offering an unprecedented panda-themed experience.

The University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG), The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will feature a video titled Man with Red Plastic Bag in Hong Kong from December 5, 2024 to January 12, 2025.

This film project by the artist Prof. David Clarke is composed of a series of clips shot in 2014 that feature a red plastic bag at various locations in Hong Kong. Most of the clips present the bag in its natural habitat—the Hong Kong streetscape—highlighting the city’s diversity along the way, and suggesting that the Hong Kong streets might be the video’s real subject.

Hong Kong International Photo Festival (HKIPF) is returning with the flagship exhibition Mega Family: Imagining Home at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Co-curated by Blues Wong and Carol Chow, the exhibition echoes the Festival’s earlier explorations of the theme of “home” in exhibitions 300 Families in 2013 and 1000 Families in 2016.
